“Wonderful base of operations for our days into Baxter State Park (highly recommended). Wonderful views out over the lake. We enjoyed hearing the calls of the loons in the evening and overnight.Heating the place can be a little awkward (there’s a Heat & Glo) gas fireplace with a heated air fan that serves this purpose (better than I expected) and portable electric radiators for the upstairs bedrooms if needed. There’s no TV and no central air but honestly that’s part of the point - and neither……

“Games, blankets, pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, cooking pans, and coffee were all provided. Owner was easy to contact and checked with us when there was a power outage throughout the town. He even made calls and kept us updated on time frame for power to come back. Quaint, comfortable space with a gorgeous view of the lake in the master bedroom and dining/living room. Also great WiFi and tv!!”

“Spent Thanksgiving week to be closeto family. Beautiful home with great views! Updated with a fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable, spacious bedrooms and a great living room space to hangout. Loved the fireplace! ”

“nothing 5 star here , just you're basic mini cabin, it was clean, staff was friendly , the grounds were nice , fire pit etc .... no complaints if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay on the outdoorsy side of things , this is it !! ”
