“Refrigerator didn’t work and informed front desk who said maintenance was on site she will have someone look at it. More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience.”

“This is a nicely designed and maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. “The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. The after hours check in was simple and the access to the room was right off the main driveway. Parking was easily accessible and close to the unit. “Owners/hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful. Delicious breakfasts each of the 3 days we stayed. Incredible views from back deck and brief walk to Bee Rock Overlook. Our room was furnished with beautiful antiques. Very comfortable bed and bedding. We enjoyed visiting Muddy Pond Mennonite community. Ate a great lunch at The Front Porch General Store and Deli.
