"La estancia fué maravillosa de verdad. Buscaba un lugar donde olvidarnos del móvil, descansar, olvidarnos de las prisas y además que tuviese encanto. Itziar y Ana hicieron nuestra estancia muy agradable, tienen una conversación amena y agradable. Itziar nos preparó unas cenas de lujo. El lugar es precioso y la reconstrucción impresionante, combinando elementos antiguos con modernos a la perfección y con un gusto exquisito. Repetiremos porque estuvimos muy agusto y cómodos."

"Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the valley and griffon vultures circling above the cliffs opposite. No restaurant meals on Wednesday as the chef has a day off but the bar menu was a fine alternative. It's a bit tricky to reach the hotel as the village's roads a very narrow and steep but it's not a problem with a little care."

"Good value for the cost. Very comfortable bed, high end bathroom and a tasty continental breakfast. Was disappointed that the spa wasn't open despite being advertised as such, and advanced arrival details would have been helpful. "

"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"Collected by the owner from the Camino Path just 2km away as advised by another reviewer which worked well. The owner checked us in but was not a very cheerful sole!! Room was large, bed was ok! Bathroom good and cleanliness very good. The food was standard for a pilgrims menu, but offered only pork which I do not eat so had lettuce for dinner :-( which after a long day walking not ideal. "El desayuno muy bueno y la amabilidad de las 3 personas que lo gestionaban. La habitación limpia, pero muy sencilla, no tenía televisión y el armario era un hueco con unas puertas y 3 perchas, ni baldas ni cajones para colocar nada. El hotel algo alejado de Soncillo y aunque se podía ir a pie, el camino hasta el pueblo está muy mal iluminado."

"La casa roja, que es solo una parte de la casa, pues se comparte con la casa azul, es oscura en la planta de abajo, donde solo hay 2 pequeñas ventanas. El dormitorio es pequeño con una cama doble pequeña. Tenia solo un edredon nordico, lo cual a finales de agosto no es lo más adecuado... El pueblito es muy bonito. "
