"This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. They were very welcoming, attentive to all of our needs and wants, offered satisfying breakfasts and were a pleasure to get to know. Thanks, Tammy and Dave!"

"I didn’t exactly like the advertised king bed that were actually two beds put together with a crack going down the middle. Very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. "

"Thierry and Jessica were phenomenal hosts. This B&B is a perfect spot in the Shenandoah Valley. My wife and I enjoyed the amenities and the hospitality. Very easy walk to downtown Lexington which has numerous shops and dining options, plus the history of two great collegiate institutions and the legendary Stonewall Jackson. We loved every minute here and are excited to return again in the future. Merci!"

"The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner."

"Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Everything one would need in the kitchen. A little off the beaten path but for us that was a positive. "

"The check-in was friendly and informative. The room was quiet and mostly clean but there was some damage to the sofa and a desk chair probably from a dog. We reported it. It was not that easy getting Wi-Fi but we finally got in. Never had that problem at any other Marriott. The breakfast was good."

"We had a relaxing stay at Peaks of Otter. We walked the lake, took the shuttle almost to the top of Sharp Top Mountain and then hiked the rest of the way up, sat by the lake in the evenings by the fire pit, read on our balcony which over looked the lake, and ate in the dining room for most meals. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, answered all our questions and were always willing to help. Room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!"

"I liked the hotel overall. I did have some minor issues. The shower head connection squirted water at connection site and the cords for the window shade were broken so I was unable to raise or lower the window shade. Also, on the ground floor, the floor surface transition from the rug to tiled flooring was raised with a lip. I tripped and fell on the floor when my sneaker shoetip caught the lip."
