“We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our king room. It had a small refrigerator, that actually was a little bit too cold and froze what we put in there. Check-in was a little bit different as you called the number and someone came down. To be fair, we had a very late check-in. But I know that someone else was trying to check in in the morning and the gentleman who is usually there. Asked him to wait for about an hour until he got back. There’s usually nobody staffing the front desk from……

“We had a miserable stay at Freebird. The property itself was great: clean, fun, with a really nice pool and fire pit area. Unfortunately, all of this was overshadowed by the evening staff member, whose behaviour was incredibly unprofessional, rude and quite frankly, racist. Our check-in with another staff member was fine. From then on, every interaction with the evening staff member was a nightmare. We had issues with no hot water and pressure. When I raised these concerns, he was completely……

“Furniture in room was falling apart. Curtain had holes in it. Bathroom ceiling was cracked. Bed was hardest most uncomfortable we ever tried to sleep on. Smoking area was in bad place by the entrance. Staff was fine, especially housekeeper, she was friendly. Did like location and the pool was good, if a little outdated. Maintainance work was being done outside too early in the morning. Breakfast was subpar, waffle maker didnt work properly.”

“I've stayed at the Anchor Inn twice now. The place itself is nice and the staff is amazing. The only problem is that the walls are pretty thin, offering no sound barrier to everything on the other side. I could hear the neighbors on either side and above me. The fridge also made a lot of noise. If you're in a room with a lot of traffic outside, like in the main building, you'll hear every guest coming and going. If noise doesn't bother you, then the rest of the experience was lovely”
