It's close to the town, which has good izakaya and other options if you're not on a meal plan. There is also a Lawson close-by. "My brother, a friend and myself went to this beautiful place in the end of March, a bit off season. We were the only ones staying at the Ryokan at the time. The service from the couple that ran the place was amazing. They drove us around showing us various sites like a Kimono factory, the beach, a beautiful view point.
