"An amazing place to stay! The view of the ocean with pico island is amazing! The owner and housekeeper were both super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They brought fresh eggs, fruits from their property, and home made jams every morning! It was nice to have the communal area to meet people (although not too many people in the off season.) For those curious, laundry service costs EUR 10. But they wash, dry, and fold your laundry. Much cheaper than a hotel."

There was a fresh baked cake, basket of cheese, basket of fruit, basket of bread/biscuits and a bottle of wine waiting on the dining room table when we arrived. The patio off of the house was a fantastic private setting for evening wine and cheese. The old basalt cottage was impeccable, it looked brand new as if we were the first to occupy!"

"This place is AMAZING!! Only 5 min or so from the airport and near the main road to everywhere on the island. The yurt itself is beautifully decorated and has everything you need if you are not too picky. The bathroom is private but separated from the tent. Mind you, this place is brand new and is owned by a super friendly couple Natacha and Hugo. We loved talking to both of them while we had our delicious breakfast that they prepared in the early mornings, with the breathtaking view of Pico...

There are not a lot of walkable things around so the hotel has a few food items for purchase. This let us have dinner while we were stuck inside during a storm! We loved it here and will be back!"

"Adorable local cottage in a very small town. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. Neighbors gave us a walking tour and showed us their garden and taught us history of the area. "

Horta garden fit that explanation perfectly. The Cafe downstairs is convenient and there are tons of local food options close by. This hotel was about a 20 minute walk to the scuba diving shop and I thought it might be an issue, but honestly we loved the walk in the early mornings. "It is a famil, running guesthouse. There is a very nice view of the ocean and Mt. Pico. The stuff is exttemly friendly and always prepared to help you. They are very helpful with advice. They alsk offer transfer. I would definitely stay here again."
