“The Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico was a great hotel to stay at for our first trip to Sao Miguel in the Azores. The hotel staff were all very helpful from arranging airport transportation for our arrival and departure to helping our group of 6 plan tours of the island. The hotel location was perfect for walking to restaurants or shopping or going across the street to swim in the ocean at the city of Ponta Delgado public swimming facility. Daily breakfast was included in our stay and was……

“Better manicuring of the property surrounding primarily the area between the hotel and beach would have made a significant difference. And add better air conditioning in dining area.”

“Love the quiet”

“The rooms were clean and front desk staff were helpful. My biggest complaint is breakfast. It didn't matter what time you got down there, there was never a clean table, replenishing food was very slow and only small amounts were brought out at a time. I think my biggest issue was that I would find hair (that was the same color) from the young girls working on some of the tops of where things like plates of cheese were. Although the young girls had their hair tied back they would be swinging……

“Location is great for walking to restaurants and exploring the old city. Has parking for our rental car. Has pools, sauna?, hot tub? and more but I didn’t use any. Clean and comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the marina where we enjoyed some white wine chilled in little fridge, Great place to stay!”

“Fantastic location. Amazing and seemingly enless choices for food very close. Hop on hop off bus office, 30 seconds from hotel. 10 euro cab ride from airport. My only complaint would be about other guests that insiston slamming doors, and that's not the hotels fault. Ideal place to stay for a week or even a couple of days for stopover.”

“The outdoor pools are incredible and the property is beautiful. Staff is helpful. Only downside is that they the kids club was not open.”

“Beautiful experience, felt like a spa from the moment we arrived. Relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Thermal pool amenities are perfect to relax after a day’s activities. Restaurant feels like you’re in a garden, and lots of healthy options. Comfortable rooms and quiet at night. Definitely worth exploring this part of the island. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day!”
