"This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. They were very welcoming, attentive to all of our needs and wants, offered satisfying breakfasts and were a pleasure to get to know. Thanks, Tammy and Dave!"

"I didn’t exactly like the advertised king bed that were actually two beds put together with a crack going down the middle. Very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement. "

"The pictures show it as a flowery place to stay, lots of blooming plants. Going in early spring those flowers haven't bloomed yet so I was a little disappointed but understood. The closeness of all the houses was neat however you have to drive a bit to find gas and food if you don't make a reservation at the Water Wheel. Living in a city this was a big change for me. I would have like to have more insight on what other locations were good for visiting for lunch or dinner."

"Went for a quick family trip at the end of basketball season to try and squeeze in a ski/board trip. Elk River made check in super easy and even made it possible for us to check in early. The cabin had everything we needed for our trip and Ellie Mays restaurant was awesome. For those that like sweet tea, there’s was on another level. The grounds itself had a lot to offer and my daughter and I did some exploring 2 of the days we were there."

"This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely young couple who were a delight to talk to. I had numerous questions before we arrived and they were answered promptly. The rooms were clean and charming. The history of the building is fascinating and there was a lot of literature on hand about the area. The breakfast was delicious, a recipe from the owner's grandmother who was also the previous owner. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!"

"Great location in Snowshoe Village; secure, clean parking garage. Condos individually decorated; ours was Pier1off the shelf. Bathroom and kitchen clean; kitchen adequately supplied. "

"My room number was 105, 1st floor in Alleghany Springs. The dishwasher needed to be reattached to the wall, the 2 screws were clearly sitting on the counter above, but this was not repaired before our stay. Each time opened, the DW jarred forward, ugh! The room was clean, & adequate for the 4 of us, realizing that sofa beds are never the most comfortable. "

"Overall, a very nice room and property. We had a couple problems with electronic key access (to our room and to the front door). While inconvenient, staff always addressed the problems quickly. Make sure you read the check-in instructions and look over maps so you know where to check, etc. Overall, very nice...we will be back and stay in the Highland House."

"Love the location! Disliked the elevator not working and the we were on the 4th floor…. Luggage was a nightmare. Our room had one toilet paper roll and no one to call for more, they charge for towels to be switched out. Was not that impressed with Rimfire. "

"Our unit was very clean and comfortable! Everything we needed was right at hand. The location was perfect, right next to the Ballhooter lift. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!"

"Condo and the property was very outdated. Beds were uncomfortable. There is a great coffee shop and restaurant/bar at the property so that was nice, but it closed early. The location was ideal for skiing - so for that reason only I would stay here again. "
