“There should be a standard that expedia expects from their listings. This place was terrible and very expensive. The area around the cabin was not maintained and overgrown. Furniture is dated and very dusty and worn. No footpath to the door. The linen and towels were awful, we stopped at Family Dollar and bought sheets and towels. I could still get over everything, but the water was the worst, it stinks like rotten eggs. We only stayed one night, this place sucks. It was very hot and we couldn’t……

“Booked for July 2026. House has 4 bedrooms but only 2 full size beds, other rooms are twin or bunk beds. House was musty smelling. Only has AC in 1 room with fans, it was very hot while there and house did fell Fair but did cool off at night. Location of house is perfectly located in middle of all Black Hills attractions, which was a great fit. And just outside city of Custer. House was not real clean when we arrived. Floors and carpet dirty with dead insects and cob webs in corners. Kitchen……

“On our 8 day trip this cabin was, by far, the best place we stayed. It really is very remote, so be sure you are ok with that. I believe it was something close to 12 miles back to Custer and most of that is dirt/gravel roads. For us, this was perfect. Super peaceful, beautiful property. Even horses on the property that were friendly. The owners were super friendly and helpful and great to chat with. We will absolutely stay here again in the future. We are already looking forward to it.”
