"We stayed for 2 nights to climb Rishiri dake. It is more like a hotel than a pension. Staff is casual and polite correspondence. Dinner was delicious both for dinner and breakfast. The washing machine was available for free."

"The hotel is located on a volcano island and has a public bath. Right above the bath entrance it says in english "natural hot spring". However, when my wife and I tried the bath at opening time there was no water flowing in and the water was stagnant and covered with scum and hair. My wife was equally repulsed by the ladies bath. I have been to possibly 100 public baths in Japan over the years and this was the worst I have ever seen. When I asked the management they said they ship in the water...

"Take the local bus to the Hote. The view along the bus ride is amazing. The hotel is pretty far from the Ferry Terminal. The hotel itself is an elegant house on hill. The room is very clean and very well kept. The hotel and restaurant was very elegantly put together. "
