“Hanford House is an inn located on Main Street (Old Highway 49) in Sutter Creek. There are a limited number of rooms on the First and Second floors (maybe six?). Not a bed-and-breakfast inn, but the Element restaurant is at the front of the structure. Breakfasts are not included in the lodging rate. “The property was great for a girls weekend in the wine country. Definitely more suitable for sleeping 6, can't imagine 8 adults would be comfortable. The communication was great. There are just a few simple touches that would make it a 5 star stay, such as adult sized bath towels, stocked toliet paper, and a full set of wine glasses (since it's the wine country). “Silver Lake is a beautiful location and having cabins to rent on the lake side is pretty special. The cabins are old and rather quirky, but you can over look some inconveniences, like luke warm water, missing chairs for dining, no plugs in the sinks and even a mouse in your room. But when we checked in they charge me for the room even though I had paid for it . I had to find my credit card bill to show I had paid for the room. Once I showed them my credit card statement they refunded the money……

“Great clean and comfortable house. We will definitely stay again when we come back. Everything was easy to use and had everything we needed for our quick weekend trip. Only drawback is the extremely steep driveway. If there is snow, I don't know how anyone would get up that driveway and there is no other area to park if you can't make it up. Just be cautioned if trying to go during inclement weather. ”
