"Very lovely older small onsen. Japanese style room was lovely. Futon was a bit old, thin, and firm, far from my first but noticable. Make sure to book dinner, its a walk to other options. Onsen was lovely."

"We reserved a non-smoking room, but it reeked of smoke! We were given another room, which was just the same. Since it was late, it wasn’t possible to find another hotel, so we had to stay in the smoky “non-smoking” room. The food was included in the stay, but we still ended up paying a dinner fee — so much for “included.” The only thing nice was the view. "

"This is an older place so if you are looking for sparkling accommodation maybe not here. If you want a more traditional Japanese hotel this is a good choice. Great free breakfast. Private onsen by reservation. Free beer and noodles along with other snacks each evening from 4-6. Larger room than many Japanese hotels. The staff is fantastic. Free shuttle to the train station. Be aware if you are walking with luggage there is a major hill to climb. Call the hotel and they will send a car anytime...

"Australian visitors for the Tohoku Food Marathon. The staff were wonderful and helpful at check in and during the delicious and plentiful breakfast. Very central to what we needed and a beautiful clean lobby and spacious room."
