「No breakfast option. The location is perfect. Peaceful, tranquil. 」

「Stayed at The Roadhouse for one night. The location was convenient and check-in was straightforward, but the room felt very tired and in need of some updating. Décor and furnishings looked worn, and overall it didn’t feel as fresh as expected. It was fine for a short stay, but with some refurbishment it could be much better.」

「Comfy, clean and quiet room, which was very quiet even when the pub was busy. Food also delicious.」

「Fresh breakfast, excellent staff! Good location on the edge of the town and lots of places to cycle to, including Puzzlewood which was the main reason for our stay. But there was a mechanical banging noise (like a shoe in a tumble dryer!) from 3.30am both nights we stayed that kept me awake. The whole experience was very 'meh' and we wouldn't recommend unless you are playing golf there.」

「A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.」

「The receptionist was kind enough to let us park our car while we went up to Sugarloaf early in the morning. All the staff are very friendly. We had our dinner at their restaurant. Fish and chips lovely and cooked breakfast was very nice. Lovely view of the mountain from our bedroom. Room is very spacious,nice and clean. Bathroom is lovely and clean. Looking forward staying here again.」

「I stayed in room 15, it was horrible. Bathroom didnt have an external vents or a fan. Massive gap at the bottom of the door, very poorly maintained room.」

「Can’t fault the staff. They were lovely and went out of their way however: No hot water in the morning Blocked drains TV didn’t work No sanitary bin Stains on the ceiling Uncomfortable bed Thin walls Incredibly noisy but ineffective flush This could just be bad luck and I give the benefit of the doubt here. As I say, staff were super helpful and I’m sure with some investment and effort it could be great.」
