“Wow, wow wow... We booked Uzenie wondering if the rave reviews were too good to be true. There are not. The hotel is exceptional - we have stayed in many places all over the world and Uzenie is genuinely the best. What makes it so fantastic are the amazing staff - their attitude and attention to detail was exemplary. They really go out of their way to be helpful - a few examples: my husband had some important work calls but the rooms are not set up with desks but one of the managers gave up……

Cependant, hôtel très bruyant, l’isolation pas au top on entend les portes claquées dès 7h du matin, les piscines sont belles mais malheureusement pas chauffées (peut-être qu’en juillet-aout elles sont plus agréables), pour le buffet, la cuisine crétoise n’est pas trop mise en avant c’est dommage. “We stayed at the Syntopia Hotel for our summer holiday. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they put in extra effort to get to know you and ensure you are having a lovely holiday. A few days into our holiday, they were automatically bringing our favourite drinks to our table at meal times which was very lovely! The food had such a good variety with a different focus every other night. We particularly enjoyed the Asian night. We would recommend staying at the Syntopia to everyone!”

“BEAUTIFUL MAINTAINED GROUNDS. FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF. WE HAD A PARTIAL SEA VIEW BUNGALOW - THE VIEW WAS GOOD & BUNGALOWS ARE LOCATED IN A QUITE PART OF THE RESORT. LOVED OUR BALCONY ( RM 30). MAIN CRITICISM OF THE ROOM IS THE OVER BATH SHOWER. WHOEVER PLANNED PUTTING THE TAPS IN THE CENTRE OF THE BATH AS WELL AS THE WIRE RACK & SOAP DISPENSERS HAS NEVER TRIED TO STAND TAKING A SHOWER IN THE BATH WHILST FIGHTING THE PLASTIC SHOWER SHEET - IT IS DANGEROUS . I CANNOT IMAGINE HOW HEAVIER / LARGER……

“Air conditioning did not work in mid-May but I think it’s because the season is early. It probably will work in June. Breakfast was simple but good. Pool was very nice. Room had a TV which was nice but the bathroom felt really outdated and always smelled like chlorine for some reason. Balcony was really nice. ”

“The staff at the reception was amazing, and the cleaning staff was excellent as well. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. Staff members were removing plates before guests had even finished their meals, and there was constant shouting throughout the hotel. The alcohol served at the bar was of very poor quality. Overall, this did not feel like a 5-star hotel experience at all.”

“Top! Wie auf den Fotos , alles sauber, ruhig und mit toller Aussicht. Auch die Gastgeber als auch das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Halbpension empfehlenswert. Ein Leihwagen ist ebenfalls empfehlenswert, insofern man Ausflüge und desöfteren kleine Erledigungen ausführen will und die Halbpension nicht gebucht hat, nahezu notwendig. Demnach waren wir ( Paar ) rundum zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen, insofern die Wahl nochmals auf Kreta fallen sollte.”

“Amazing service, clean delightful little Boutique hotel. Breakfast was simple but delicious and plenty of choice - the eating area was amazing. Partially alfresco, chilled and bright. Room was fantastic and as an avid gym go-er, it was great to have decent weights and kit selection on site. Plenty to do a morning workout session in which is exactly what I wanted for my mini break. I travelled solo and I felt really looked after and comfortable. Buses into Reythmo old town easy to get and……

“Property is conveniently located - but the parking across the road at the port isn’t included or free, as suggested by the filter on Expedia - however it was reasonably priced (approx. 15 EUR overnight). Not bad for a short stay in Rethymno :))”
