“The owners and staff were warm, welcoming and always willing to help. Very nice people. Loved that they had recycle bins throughout the property and separate bins in the villas for organics and other materials. The property and trails were beautiful, the flowers, plants, fish pond and ducks were nice to see. There were lots of birds to see and hear. Overall a great place and cant wait to go back.”

The pool in the property overlooks a slight hill so it makes for a nice touch. We felt very safe and the place is in a very quiet and serene area. I would suggest spraying for mosquitoes outside and inside, or provide mosquito coils. Amenities were sufficient for our needs, although there are some appliances that need replacing. “The location of the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were superb and clean. We loved the private beach and the pool. A huge, huge thank you to the servers and the kitchen staff at the restaurant. I arrived one day and really wanted a veggie roti. They only had chicken and beef on the menu. I asked our server if they had veggie and she said to me "not now but if you want one for dinner I will ask the kitchen to have it ready for you". And they did. And it was delicious! Even better - I didn't……

“We’ve been staying at the Kariwak since 1993. Not much has changed. It still has a plethora of birds and tropical flowers, the staff is still amazing and the rooms are still clean. If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t for you but it’s beautiful just the same. We still love everything about it 32 years later. ”
