Stayed in loads of lodges previously and this one stood out due to the little added extras such as doggy welcome pack and bathroom toiletries pack which included shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, body wash all stuff which you would expect to get from a hotel. "Did not have breakfast by choice but evening meal was superior. Take a multi point extension as i had to unplug tv to boil kettle due to lack of sockets. Free wi fi was out of range for my room unfortunately worked in dining room and reception so it wasn't the phone."

"Tired, dirty and cramped. Online check in pointless, you still have to join the massive queue. Half the 'attractions' of the hotel shut. No ironing board or iron in room, you have to pay DESPITE THIS BEING ADVERTISED AS COMING WITH THE ROOM. Bed was acceptable... A bit lumpy and some questionable hairs. Room was tired, drawers broken, window handle broken, bathroom was dirty and stunk of drains whenever you used the sink. Blood stains on the wall, suspicious stains on the chair at the end of the bed........ When getting back approx 10:30pm we were greeted by 4 police vans outside the hotel, screaming and shouting late into the night - oh and I could hear everything the couple next door were up to. Real classy, doubt it was that good. Never again... "

"Staff lovely and accommodating, room was spacious, lovely view of the river, comfy bed and clean fresh bathroom. Had a lovely evening meal in the sun by the river, and breakfast was great. And all for a very reasonable price, would definitely stay again"
