This hotel is about 4-5 mins walk to train station. Hotel is old, our room is small but clean. Breakfast is good.

There is really nothing special about this hotel. The room was okay, but very dated. Location and price are the main reasons to stay here. One nice touch is that you get a free drink in the restaurant, Gaslight, on the top floor. (Which is also where the breakfast is served.) I stayed two nights and ate in the restaurant both nights, mainly because I had walked so much during the day and didn't want to search for an alternative. The mid-week dinner deal and free drink made this surprisingly attractive.

Good location
Room needs to be cleaned a bit better- the tiles in the shower aren’t super clean and there are noticeable dust bunnies on the wall. Convenient location about a block from the train station. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good wifi. Parking is behind the building.

Great amenities and nice location!
For two non Japanese speaking Americans, the staff were very helpful. The hotel room is incredibly well stocked with amenities. The room we had, a small double, was quite small but it had everything we needed, a hot shower and a place to sleep, and it included a mini fridge. The bed was neat as there was a radio system built in for AM/FM stations, of course we couldn’t understand what they were saying, but I’d never seen anything like that before. We paid to have breakfast included with our stay, it was neat as I’d never had a Japanese breakfast, see the picture attached. The location was ideal, central and close to the castle and pagodas. We even had a view of the castle from our room! If you’re into winter sports, skiing/snowboarding, there looked to be several different ski lifts on the surrounding mountains. All in all, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Standard business hotel-no frills. Check-in was easy even with low Japanese ability. Room was small but adequate. Bed was a little hard but that is common in business hotels. It is in a good location, 5-7 minute walk from the main station and close to the main street where many buses run to go to the castle or other attractions in Aizu.

Very good value
Very good buffet breakfast and they have take away coffee machine for guests who need extra coffee after breakfast. Room has a nice street view. Excellent staff services. Near several nice restaurants, convenience stores and Pivot Supermarket. A short walk from JR Station. Very happy to stay here as price is not high.

Clean and convenient hotel near station
Big room and bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, lots of amenities. Very close to station. Seems clean and well kept. Check out time is later than most hotels and check in time is earlier, which is nice to accommodate slightly sporadic train times. Big, comfy bed and very comfy pillows. Had a minor earthquake while I stayed and everything was sturdy, nothing even fell off the walls/shelves. Only issue I encountered was soundproofing, can hear every move your neighbours make, plus lots of traffic noise and sirens.

Comfortable and convenient
I really enjoyed my stay at the Washington Hotel in Aizu Wakamatsu. The room was nice, cozy and clean and the amenities are great. The restaurant "STEAK AND BAR GASLIGHT" is lovely and the dinner and breakfast is very scrumptious. The staff are friendly and helpful and it was close and convenient to Aizu Wakamatsu Station as I limited time and did not want to be traipsing back and forth too far as that would have been a waste of precious time that I needed to visit and capture some great images of Tsuruga-jo (Castle). I'd recommend staying there and I will stay there again next time for sure!

I've stayed at several hotels in Aizuwakamatsu, and all have been adequate. The walk from the JR station to the Washington Hotel is very short.

フロントデスクが無いと聞いており不安でしたが、普通にあったので安心しました。翌朝のタクシー手配やチェックアウト後の荷物預かりにも気持ちよく対応して下さり、大変助かりました。 ただ一つ残念だったのは、廊下通路がすごく煙草臭かったです。禁煙のフロアを希望すれば良かったと後悔しました。

水洗トイレの水流の音
深夜にトイレを使って水を流したら、かなり大きな音がしました。設備が古いからで仕方がない現象ですが、最近のトイレはほとんど音がしないので深夜でも早朝でも水を流す習慣がついてしまっていたのです。昔のエチケット（深夜や早朝には水を流さない）を思い出すべきでした。
