Husband and I stayed here two nights with two 'tween grandchildren and our mid-sized dog. It was perfect in every way - the kids kept saying "you told us a cabin - this is a house!"
This was one of the few properties that REALLY sleeps six in real comfy beds in three real bedrooms - not pullout sofa sleepers or cots. That said, there were two folding cots in the closet to complement the two queens and two twin beds, and the sofa is also an option for additional kiddos or guests. We sincerely appreciate that pets are welcome for a very modest fee. We all especially appreciated the roomy bar plus table and open-concept kitchen area.
The cabin was spotless and well stocked upon arrival with lots of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. There were even a few pantry staples -- we happily used some of the complete pancake mix, cocoa mix, and rice and left some extra packaged goods in return. Fridge and freezer compartment are to be left empty, so you won't find butter or refrigerated condiments, etc. Family Dollar and Allsups Convenience Store have quite a few basics and quick-fix items if you forget something. A favorite of ours is to bring along refrigerated cookie dough to bake cookies before bedtime.
TV cable had more channels than we even wanted the kids to have, and the Internet worked great. There are quite a few kids books upstairs and a few novels, too. We brought Monopoly and cards. Next time we'll bring a board game to play and leave for others to enjoy.
What we didn't find: no hairdryer and no bath soap, shampoo, or laundry detergent (none of these posed problems for us.) We had plenty of towels, and there was a pump soft soap in the downstairs bath and at the kitchen sink, plus dish and dishwasher detergent.
Some commented the area across the road was "sketchy." I don't know why anyone would say this...the whole immediate area is a cluster of cabins and homes, albeit some more expensive or extravagant than others, on a single-lane paved road that winds upward. The road has a wide outside edge in places they won't accommodate building a residential structure, but there are 4-5 graveled spots with electric hookups offered for RV or travel trailer use. We met a very nice couple from Wyoming staying in one.
We'd heartily recommend this area and this cabin and hope to be back again ourselves!
