When we checked in there was staff available, but often as we'd come and go from our hotel, we wouldn't see anyone at the front desk or anywhere that we could have communicated with if we'd needed it. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay, it's cleanliness and location."

The water for the shower never got very warm either day and when I came down at 8:45 for breakfast, there was no food left on a Saturday (breakfast ends at nine). It was very busy, but I don’t believe that they replenished the food which typically happens even if it’s towards the end."

"For the price this old school hotel is a gem. It’s right on the water with its own balcony and Lake Michigan view. You can walk on the beach to the main beaches of downtown Algoma. There are fire pits and chairs scattered around the property. Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. There is endless coffee in check in/lobby area that is better than most hotel offerings. Staff was very helpful and friendly."
