“The owner and his family staff were particularly kind, caring and focused on their guests. The breakfast was very good. The building itself, although old and unremarkable from the outside, has been completely renovated, hence the rooms are modern and spacious. Highly recommended.”

“This is exactly what you want in a guesthouse in a tiny village. By far the best place we stayed at in Scotland with amazing staff, beautiful decor, and absolutely amazing food! Do not skip the restaurant! Cannot recommend the Bankfoot Inn enough!”

“There is no air con and the window cannot be opened. There is no curtain near the bath tub. No staff come to clean up after 11 am. Breakfast which costs 12.5 pounds but very few choices . Small hotel not quite the same as in the advertisement. ”

“Our room wasn’t great it was cold and very tired. TV didn’t work. Bathroom desperately needed upgraded ( which I believe it will be getting soon) but it wasn’t clean particularly. Receptionist was good provided a new tv although we had to tune it in and a heater for our room. Was glad I was only staying the one night. My friends had better rooms although I didn’t see them. But for what I paid I was disappointed.”

“Didn’t like anything about our stay. The “hotel” is very rundown and I don’t think the room had room we got was properly cleaned. The toilet was dirty, no toilet paper, the taps were filthy. The carpets were monody and cobwebs all over roof. The radiator was thick with dust. We only got two flat pillows and didn’t feel we could actually go to bed cos we weren’t sure if the sheets had been cleaned. The mattress was comfortable enough. The staff were mainly non existent. Would definitely not stay……
