Lovely place to stay , good food , good beer , staff were all brilliant, we stayed with our border terrier who spent most of the weekend asleep in front of the fire, would definitely recommend a visit

Great pub!
This was our third visit here and it was just as good as the first time. Great local pub with a mix of clientele, fabulous room and superb food in the restaurant. The full breakfast was awesome and definitely not for the faint hearted!

Amazing stay
We choose here due to location for walking and weren’t disappointed. An utterly fabulous place to stay and would definitely be going back. Everyone was so very friendly and helpful with super food and drink too! Thank you.

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the country. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Bed very comfortable and the room nicely designed. I had dinner there, which was lovely as was the epic breakfast.

Had a perfect stay. Extremely friendly staff who made us feel at home and were genuinely keen to help us enjoy our trip. Nice beer garden and enjoyed playing on the swing-ball! We sampled breakfast, Sunday lunch and evening meals - all of a high standard and exceptionally tasty. We had the Eldon Room with a superking bed. Lots of little extra touches and good to have a fridge in the room. Only slight niggle was the tv was quite small. Special thanks to Lauren who really looked after us.

Absolutely delightful
Very comfortable suite in a charming village pup. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sitting in the garden in the late afternoon sun was delightful. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Hope to return for more than one night .

Fabulous Break
A really enjoyable stay. Room was clean and spacious, breakfasts were fabulous. George and Mary the owners went out of their way to make you feel welcome and gave many pieces of good advice to us as tourists. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Lovely restaurant food and a good selection of beers. A great stay and would thoroughly recommend

FANTASTIC STAY
Fantastic quiet location ideally placed for many beaches , castles and walks . Dogs very welcome .All the staff were very friendly and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us. Loved the fact that each morning one or sometimes both the owners made a point of making time to talk to all the guests each morning at breakfast . We’ll be back !!

One of THE great pubs with rooms in the country in my opinion. Lots of character, excellent food and drink and above all incredibly friendly and hospitable owners and staff.

Fabulous Small Exceptionally Friendly Hotel
Fabulous hotel tucked away in a lovely conservation area, photos don’t do it justice, decor and extras in room were noteworthy. We arrived early with two dogs not one but this was no problem to our hosts. Dinner was well presented and conversations were enjoyed with locals. Breakfast was splendid a real treat having genuine tasty local produce and I was especially impressed with being able to dine with the dogs and environmentally friendly take away packaging. 10/10 !

Luxury pup stay.
Fantastic welcome and all staff from the hosts to the cleaning lady were all exceptionally friendly. We and our dog were made very welcome and comfortable. We hired the suite room which had everything you needed. Sky TV, Alexa, small fridge and usual tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely and big. I really can't fault the room. The stairs to it were quite steep so this might be a problem for some guests. The bar and food menu were reasonable prices and both good quality. Parking is not guaranteed, however there is on street parking. We couldn't eat on the restaurant section because of our dog. This didn't detract from the experience, rather it probably enhanced it. The regular customers were all really friendly and spoke to us for quite a while telling us about the area. Two mornings a game shooting party met for bacon sandwiches before the shoot. We found this quite interesting although appreciate it might not be to everyone's taste.

Superb place to stay!
Absolutely fantastic in every way with a superb room that was ideal for our stay as it included a large tv, mini fridge, super king size bed and a superb bathroom with walk in shower including shower gel and shampoo, large leather sofa’s, the Tankerville Arms is top quality in almost every way, the pub part is spotless and comfortable with an excellent range of drinks available, the restaurant part is well fitted out and decorated with character pictures and other decorations, the food is excellent and everything we had to eat was freshly cooked to order and to our liking from a good range of food choices, this is probably the first time I’ve stayed anywhere that managed to achieve top marks for everything due to the best staff who were friendly professional and helpful, anyone looking for a base to tour Northumberland will find The Tankerville Arms ideal, we will be going back to stay there again fairly soon.

Excellent hotel, respectful people, crystal clean room, warm, beautiful accommodation and yummy full English breakfast(I never had the mouth watering breakfast in the UK). Nothing to say about negative! Great location, just 10mins away from Chillingham Castle. We stayed here to do Ghost Hunt - Paranormal Investigation activity at Chillingham Castle which 4hrs event! So, myself and my wife stayed here, only in this town you get full 4g signal connectivity and the hotel offers you free fastest WiFi connectivity too. Safe town, lovely neighbourhood and you can bit of wild animals spotted while drive at night! Amazing location, will visit soon and definitely recommend anyone!

Our room was not what we had expected due to a mix up on the booking site but after a chat with the owner the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. The food was excellent and staff were great. We left 1 night early as the room we stayed in was then not available for both nights. This was also dealt with in a friendly and helpful manner. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again. It is about 6 miles out of Alnwick, but if you have time to drive back and forth, it's not a problem.

Wedding Anniversary Break
Amazing stay at the Tankerville Arms. Very comfortable room, fabulous food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. You need a car to get around the area but easy access to all the tourist spots.
