「We stayed six nights and enjoyed it immensely. There is a real homely feeling to the hotel. There were a few niggles but you get them wherever you go. The staff were polite, friendly and most attentive. The bar and restaurant were more than satisfactory and the heated outdoor pool was a brilliant addition. We will definitely be going back especially since my partners friend is residing in Bideford now and we will happily reserve a room at Durant House Hotel whenever we visit.」

「Lovely property and friendly hosts. Listing on Hotels.com doesn't state number of dogs allowed, which is actually only one, but host was very understanding and accommodated us and our pets. Well located for exploring the North Devon coastal region, Bideford is lovely and we also had a great day at Westward Ho! Hot tub at the house was most welcome in the evening after a long day exploring the coastal path.」

「Very nice room with sea view, unfortunately very steep stairs to get there and as suffering mobility issues, not the best, although staff were not aware. Breakfast excellent, and evening meal for 7 highly commented on favourably, hot plates and food. Unfortunately a bout of food poisoning occurred overnight, although the source cannot be confirmed but suspected. Would recommend and stay again. Chair to be placed in room in September after renovations will be a bonus.」
