"Pros: Das Ambiente ist traumhaft. Für uns ist es klar, dass wir nächstes Mal wieder ein Hausboot mieten werden, wenn wir nach Hamburg kommen. Cons: Mit dem ÖV (spricht mit dem Bus ab Bahnhof) kamen wir nicht wirklich zurecht. Wir sind keine Stadtmenschen und sind uns überhaupt nicht gewohnt mit dem ÖV unterwegs zu sein. Für uns war es am Einfachsten mit der Regiobahn zu Fahren und dann zu Fuss zum Hausboot. Die 15-20 Minuten zu Fuss war für uns kein Problem."

"Oberdeck is in a great location to explore Hamburg. It’s very close to transport, restaurants, and some great coffee. The apartment was compact but very clean and well equipped. The balcony is a great space. Our only issue was how hot it was upstairs in the bedroom even when it was cool downstairs and outside. A fan is supplied but it was still uncomfortable. The roof top deck is lovely. We would definitely stay again. "

"It's s budget friendly hotel in the centre of Hamburg. No coffee or tea in the room but hot and cold water can be had in the hallway. It's a bit dated inside but generally ok. The main problem is the street people and dealers outside in the alleys making noise and screaming and shouting all night which is making getting rest and a good nights sleep difficult."

"Great location in the Reeperbahn. Many good restaurants and bars around. The area close by is somewhat run down. Breakfast is Continental but everything is fresh and lots of choice. Slow bar service as the same person was also dealing with check ins etc. I would stay again."

"The hotel is about 17 minutes away from Hamburg central station. It is a good location and a safe one. It is walkable. Bus # 12 runs right in front of the hotel. There is a train within 4 minutes walk, but I can’t remember its number. It has some food places within walking distance. It was, however, difficult to find anything open before 6 pm. Sunday many places are closed. We walked to central station daily because of our plans to see sites required using public transportation. Therefore, we bought food near central station. Plenty of Resturants and stores to buy fruits, etc. The hotel staff are nice and responsive, we want to specifically thank Micaela for taking care of our many questions and responding to our needs for a quiet room, etc. She was very helpful, polite and welcoming. The room is spacious with siting area( desk and lounge chair). One small open space that they considered closet, but it is really not enough. We made it work. The room has air conditioning, refrigerator, coffee & tea maker. They provide water, coffee, tea, cream & sugar. No safe which we paid extra for premier plus room so that we can have all the above plus a safe. The one thing I am hoping for is that they will pull the rug out of the rooms and replace with wood floors. We would definitely stay at this hotel again."
