A grand heritage site

Such an honor to visit this hotel and its history. Beautiful renovation and very high standard. Wonderful staff and great cousine. What more can you ask for? Put this Pousada on your list when visiting the area - that would be our recomendation.

Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain! We couldn’t say enough about this historical hotel and can’t wait to expect one day we return for the longer stay. The free breakfast was served on an ancient stone table, hotel also served a wonderful dinner, it was delicious! Entire place was like a giant storyteller, the ancients buildings and its exhibitions brought you back a thousand years. A beautiful garden and courtyard with partially existing cloister ….. the hotel location also very close to the Portuguese only national park, Peneda-Gerês National Park, not far from Braga. Ideal location between Portugal and Spain!

Lovely stay

Comfortable room. Breakfast selection was great. Liked the concept of a hotel in an old building. It is near a small town but dining options outside were quite limited. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. Food and service was great

The building is remarkable and the staff are excellent. It's a very laid back quite feel. Not much to do around the Pousada, but an excellent place to get a bit of rest, recharge and enjoy the local wine. the building is really special.

Eindrucksvolles Hotel in altem Kloster. Hervorragend eingepasst. Alles vom Feinsten. Etwas vom Schuss aber perfekt zum Relaxen. Bei den Kochkünsten hapert es allerdings ein wenig. Der Service erscheint ein wenig übertrieben.

Gute Lage für Besichtigung in Nordportugal

ehemaliges Kloster; historische Atmosphäre, sehr ländliche Lage; bis nach Braga sind es 40 Minuten , daher sollte man im Hotel auch zu Abend essen (sehr schöne Räumlichkeit). Zimmer ist einfach ausgestattet.
