Recommended. Will stay there again, next time I go to Ambleside. Be aware that it's a short walk (5 mins) to the centre of Ambleside, where all the shops/pubs are located. Breakfast is really good with a wide choice.

Brilliant location bang in the middle of walking into Ambleside town centre and the pier. breakfast was amazing and really good service. Overall excellent stay and would definitely stay here again.

This was my third stay in the guest house and certainly won't be my last. Booking and check-in were both very straightforward and parking is catered for either on-site or with a pass in a nearby car park. No issues there. The guest house is located handily between Windermere and Ambleside and it is a short walk to both. The property and rooms are always immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and there are a wide range of choices, including some wonderful, locally sourced sausage/bacon and some excellent home-made preserves which I highly recommend trying. Last, but definitely not least, the hosts Steve and Tina are lovely people, friendly, helpful and clearly hard-working and put a lot of energy and effort into their guest house. Thank you and top marks to both.

The room was lovely very spacious and clean, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast was delicious. We were given a parking pass and the carpark was a stonesthrow from the property. We were very close to the shops, pubs and restraunts and to lake windermere. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay. The couple who run it were incredibly lovely and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, cozy, and full of character. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at the Wanslea Guest House for our anniversary weekend Steve and Tina were amazing hosts helping with our every need and serving a delicious breakfast each day, our room was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others

Well located

Quick check in, very good breakfast, comfortable and clean room. The owners are very friendly and provide great suggestions for walking trails or places to see / eat. Walking distance to several restaurants and beautiful trails.

I love the area the food option the bed is very comfortable access to the transport as well. Everything is around unique and perfect for me. I have a lovely stay with my daughter and I’m gonna recommend it for everybody.
