“At a superficial level, this hotel is stunningly opulent with regular use of water features. I walk with the aid of a cane because of balance issues and the hotel offered too many risks of falling. As a result I didn't use the spa or plunge pool in my room. Staff were consistently brilliant. My room had 6 component and was spotless.”

“It has the potential to be very good. The property size is very good and the gardens are all private and not over looked. The issue is it needs a lot of refurbishment. Nothing totally fundamental but to give you a theme we had a 3 bed villa. None of the doors properly close so you get bugs coming in at night you’re not careful. The air con leakes when you have it on for more than 5 mins. The outside tables wobble so much if you put a coffee on them it wins be there for long. The kitchen tap was……

“The property was delightful- so esthetically done up and with such thoughtful details. The staff was very courteous and helpful and always so good with any requests we made. The hospitality was so heartwarming- we were served hot tea and cookies when we arrived and were served lunch as soon as we were ready for it. The swimming pool was perfect for our 5-year old and he loved being in there. The breakfast was all home made and fresh with different items served each time- the yogurt, amlou, honey……

“Excellent Riad in a great location. Situated close to the city walls, taxis and transport can drop you right at the door — a real advantage when you see so many tourists dragging their suitcases through the Medina. Being on the edge means zero hassle, yet it’s still only a 15‑minute walk to the main square. Hamid and the team are exceptional. The setting is beautiful, the location is ideal, and the breakfast is excellent. The team looked after our family with genuine care — nothing was ever too……

“Good points: Nice clean riad. Courtyard was beautiful. Breakfast was good. Great cleaning service. Muhammad, the helper, was excellent. Very nice rooftop. Bad points: No wall between toilet and the room we stayed in, which was very odd and quite uncomforatable. AC cooling was okay but not the best. Fare from airport to riad was very expensive. I think this should've been mentioned beforehand by the riad. You can easily reach the riad from the airport for 100 MAD, rather then the 250 MAD which……

“Riad Zara was a devine oasis. The staff were helpful, kind and friendly. The room was clean, with a magical quantity, making me feel like some sort of Moroccan prince. The old town can be a bit hetic, with the bustle of the souk at your doorstep. But upon entering Riad Zara it all disappeared, and i was wrapped in a blanket of colors and calm. I highly recommend Riad Zara for anyone who is looking for a touch of bohemian class in there visit to Marrakech. ”

“We had arranged car picked up service from airport to the riad but was disappointed that the driver didn't show up and they didn't inform us.
