"Our party of four enjoyed our stay in this charming, well appointed home. There was plenty of room for morning coffee on the front porch or visiting in the living room. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. We had one minor issue and our host answered promptly and remedied the situation. Fred was also very helpful with all of our queries. Highly recommend a visit to Essex and a stay in this charming cottage."

"This house was perfect for what we needed. We attended a basketball tournament at the casino and this house was the perfect base to spend the weekend going back and forth. From the quiet dead end street, to the nicely furnished rooms, updated kitchen and bath, it was easily to get up and go in the morning and come back to to relax at night. Check in and check out were easy. We would stay here again."

"This is a beautiful house on a lovely lake. It made a wonderful home base for our long weekend while we were in the area for our son's college graduation. Kris and Alan are fabulous hosts and they were readily available when a couple of questions popped up. There were so many amenities included in the house plus loads of extras like the makings for s'mores. Everything was labeled, so it was easy to feel at home. The lake is gorgeous, and there are kayaks and a canoe that guests can use, as well...
