I bought a handicap accessible room on the bottom floor. I did not get one. The room had yogurt and red stains all over the floor. The sink area was dirty. After I checked out I forgot my phone charger and was told that I cannot get it. I’ve stayed at this hotel at least 6 times this year and was never told I cannot go back and grab something I forgot. I would like to talk to a supervisor. For a complementary room to compensate for the horrible service. Thank you Gloria

I have not heard of this incident or that we are telling our guest they do not get their belonging back. Please contact the hotel directly and ask for a manager on duty so we can get this resolved. We went there for the pool which was randomly out of service for our entire stay. The rooms were small and we had only luke warm water in the shower!

Unfortunately, unexpected maintenance issues forced us to close it down, but we did our best to resolve them as quickly as possible. After we checked in and went to our room, we noticed there were no towels in the room, very little TP and the counters were not cleaned. We had to ask the front desk twice before receiving anything. Another guest mentioned they had similar problems for the two days they were there. There was straw in the hallway when we showed up and it was still there when we checked out. The prices went up and the service went down. Look elsewhere

Not the best stay this time
After prepaying online I was charged again at the location for the same reservation that took days to fix. The day of the stay the room was HOT and called multiple times to have the air fixed but no help and they couldn’t even provide a fan! I’ve stayed here multiple times and this was by far my worst experience so far. Fluffy people don’t sleep when it’s 75+ in the room and you can’t fix the temperature when y’all LOCK the thermostat !!! That’s Ridiculous for the price you charge

Overall had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Place Midtown-Anchorage. We stayed during a very cold spell of winter (in the negative degrees Fahrenheit our entire stay). They offered a free shuttle to & from the airport that was well organized & SUPER simple - you’ll just need to call them from the airport when you have your bags & then ensure to stop by the front desk to schedule for the ride back to the airport after your stay. Staff was great. We seemed to encounter Annette the most, & she was very helpful, understanding & kind. We requested to switch rooms for a better view of the mountains - and although we had an Office Depot sign in our view, she switched our room so we could see the gorgeous mountains on a clear day. The complimentary breakfast was impressive- tasty & more than we expected! All amenities were clean & well kept (gym, pool, business center, bar, etc). As for location, there’s quite a few restaurants, Starbucks, and a grocery store close by. It was below freezing while we were there (and we did not have transportation unless we wanted to splurge on an Uber)…so we walked to local spots. Needless to say, we did not get a chance to explore too much of downtown. The hotel backs up to Cuddy Park which looked like a quiet winter wonderland of powder & trees. Lovely. Overall, the Hyatt Place turned out to be a great stay for us. Recommended!

Awesome experience!
This place was amazing. I had such a bad experience at the Windgate by Whyndham who wouldn't give me a refund despite not having any hot water! This place was a breath of fresh air in comparison. Great restaurant, friendly staff, clean new room. I will stay here again!

Home away from Home.
The staff for my stay of January 6th overnight were so wonderful. They were both kind and efficient. The driver was a wonderful person on the ride to the airport. Highly recommend. The hot breakfast offered a lot of options and was presented well.

Great stay
Very comfortable! Check in was quick and staff was very friendly. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and I felt safe. The breakfast was delicious and it is evident that staff makes an effort to have a quality buffet. The only issue for me was that there was a fan in the room that blew cold air and it made it a little chilly. I could not turn the fan off or the heat up with the thermostat in the room. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again, and I would highly recommend it to others!

Heater wasn’t working in my room. It was in second floor. I got sick after staying in a cold room for a hour. They changed my room after a hour staying in freezing cold room. New room was good but then the mattress wasn’t comfortable. And it was pretty noise. This was my third time staying in this property. I don’t think I’m going to stay this property anymore after this trip. This property definitely need to fix the heater issue and maybe get new mattress. Service was great. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good. Airport shuttle service is great. I also liked that they let me check out at 1pm.

The staff at this hotel has gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and valued. We came in on a very early flight and they allowed us to check in early. We also left on a very late flight and they allowed us to check out late. I cannot say enough about this place. We are frequent Anchorage travelers and this is the only place I will stay. Thank you to all the staff.

The people in the next room were fighting and screaming all night. When we notified the front desk in the morning they said that was their second warning. Should not have let them stay. The bar and restaurant was nice. The cut fresh fruit was a nice offering. Wish the room would have been a little cleaner.

Underwhelming cleanliness
It was clear upon first entering the room that it was lacking in cleanliness. There were smears of mystery substances on walls, mugs and cups in the room were dirty, carpet hadn’t been thoroughly vacuumed, and there were clothes from the previous guest left in the drawers. We had a 4 night stay and had to request the room to be serviced on the 3rd day - which only consisted of emptying the trash and making beds (towels weren’t even replenished - we were left with one hand towel). Parking is free and convenient. The pool area was clean, despite (again) complete lack of towels. Overall a very lackluster experience.
