Oros Luxury Beach Resort

"We had a fabulous time at Oros Resort. The staff, especially, were universally fantastic – warm, friendly and professional and could not do enough for us. Even though it caters to families, it is also a great romantic couples resort. With separate pools for families and adults and a lot of space it always feels calm, quiet and relaxed. The resort is finished to a very high standard and is very well thought out. The rooms are excellent. The resort’s part of the beach is the best on Episkopi – soft sand and, again, great attentive staff who are always on the lookout for things they can do for you. The one observation I would make is the resort is a long way on foot from a town and, although there are beach bars and tavernas along the beach, they are spread out, with often a fair distance between. The resort restaurants are great but if you want to find local tavernas outside be prepared for a 30 minute walk. All the tavernas between Georgioupoli and Petres could do with a shuttle bus to move people around. A special shout out for the restaurant Yaku which was amazing. We were initially surprised by the idea Nikkei cuisine in Crete but it was truly beautiful and, again, all the staff were brilliant. Chef Nikos Skamnakis is a master!"

"Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und ist umgeben von Olivenhainen. Für Naturliebhaber absolut empfehlenswert. Man ist nur wenige Autominuten von der National Road entfernt. Also ein perfekter Ausgangsort um Ausflüge in der Umgebung zu unternehmen. Der ebenso nahegelegene Strand ist sehr schön und unkompliziert zu erreichen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend, auf Sauberkeit und auf die Privatsphäre der Gäste bedacht. Wir haben uns als Familie mit erwachsenen Kindern sehr wohl im Haus gefühlt und konnten einen angenehmen Urlaub auf der wunderschönen Insel Kreta verbringen."

"La villa correspond en tout point à ce qui est indiqué dans l'annonce. Mrs GABY très disponible et agréable. Le calme, une vue magnifique, peut être un wifi unplus performant. Mais ce n'est qu'un détail. Bref de merveilleuses vacances dans cette charmante villa."

"We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children and this house worked perfectly for us.The place was clean, the host was amazing and sorted out any problems we had very quickly.The pool was amazing but in hindsight maybe we should have paid and had it heated.The supermarket was fantastic and only a minute from the house.We hire one car which was a good idea and we did 2 trips to restaurants and beach as both were within easy reach and only took around 10 minutes each way.Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us."

"A really special villa- in the most beautiful spot. We all really appreciated the peace and the views - so many wonderful outdoor spaces to sit and relax, surrounded by the hills and mountains with a glorious view to the sea. A very easy 10 minute drive to good supermarkets and tavernas and also the excellent Maria’s taverna a 3 min drive away. Communication with host and Gaby was great - quick responses and Gaby was very helpful. We cannot fault the accommodation and pool - all clean and spacious and well equipped and laid out. Would definitely return."
Charming cottage with a unique view

"My family's stay at the cottage was wonderful. The home was spacious, clean and mostly comfortable (although the beds were a little bit too firm for my family). The mountain and sea views were fantastic! Herbert was a kind and gracious host and was always available in case we had any concerns. He was delightful to talk to and he has a wealth of knowledge about the area. Although we were on a pre-planned schedule, he was always willing to offer a tour of surrounding areas. All in all, the stay was marvelous and we'd recommend staying there to anyone spending their holiday on Crete!"
