Ancient Mitla Hotels

"5/7/26 My wife and I had another excellent stay. (#6 in 2 years) at Maria Ines. 5 minites to airport or a 30 minute taxi ride to ADO Bus station. Hotel is safe, clean and quiet. Bed is soft, water is hot and aircon is cold. Small but useful gym setup and lovely garden area. Nice Italiam restaurant next door and convenience store a 5 minute away. Staff (a young lady at reception) was very friendly, professional and most courteous. We asked for a taxi at 0730 and the driver showed up at 0715. We already have another stay scheduled for 6 July! We highly recommend The Maria Ines!"

"We stayed here seven days in late April. The location is ideal. Close to the Zocalo, café shops, retail shops, restaurants, 20 de Diciembre market, museums and many other places. They are all within walking distance. During the weekend it could get noisy as there is a bar/club nearby. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. The beds are comfy and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Especially since the weather was in the 90's the entire week we were there. For those who have physical limitations please be aware there is no elevator for rooms in the 2nd and 3rd level. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a double bed room, we were upgraded to a junior suite. That was nice of them. The room was larger but I have a feeling this was one of the rooms that was not upgraded yet. There was construction above us, not huge deal since we spent most of our time out of the room. But I'm sure if we were there more time it would have been a problem. I would recommend this hotel if you like being close to main area of the city and don't need a car."

"First off, let me say the people in Oaxaca in general are very nice and accommodating, now onto the hotel there was construction going on during my stay right above my room, which was very unpleasant, they did not communicate that to me when I change rooms to a room where Construction was like a Hammer drill above my room, the breakfast was awesome. The location is awesome and the people that worked there were generally very nice. Other than the Construction, everything was good, but that should’ve been communicated to me upon check-in."
