“We had a great time at the property. It is a family owned property, very well maintained and managed. The whole family very amicable and friendly. Uncle gave us a free night tour in his garden which was really sweet and informative. Loved the breakfast aunty prepared. Only drawback is the road to property is broken however nothing can match to the great hospitality! “The family cabin we stayed in was perfect for us and had more than enough space for the five of us. The grounds themselves are beautifully landscaped. The staff is very friendly, informative, and helpful. Thank you Roy! We had a wonderful stay. The optional breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. The kitchen was well-stocked, which we took advantage of by cooking our own meals. Reliable hot water in the showers was a definite plus. There are some nice, short little trails on the……

“I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. And don't forget about breakfast. Everyday, we had homemade to order……
