“Air conditioning was minimal at best. There were tons of ants in the bathroom and the bed was old. The grounds are lovely, as is the pool. And I really liked the fact that I could change the language on the TV from Spanish to english!”

“We stayed four nights in this beautifully designed 7 room boutique hotel in the historic district of Mérida. Our room was large and bright, with high ceilings, and had a very private terrace with table and chairs. The bathroom was large and had good lighting. There is a small restaurant and bar with a good variety of menu items and reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented beautifully. We enjoyed talking with the owner of the hotel, who is a wealth of information……

“Reservamos por dos noches, aunque anteriormente nos habíamos hospedado ahí varias veces sin ningún problema. Hemos visto que el hotel decayó un poco; las camas están duras y la habitación que nos dieron tenía colchas que se notaban algo empolvadas; la limpieza en general es buena. Otro detalle es que el desayuno (que es cortesía), en recepción nos dijeron que si desabamos proteínas o alguna otra cosa era costo extra (que por nosotros no había problema) pero no hay alguien que atienda……

“A peaceful, relaxing oasis with a beautiful pool/ courtyard area and comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional style. The homemade breakfasts were incredible and more than substantial. Easy walk to town center, shopping and restaurants (but without the noise of the city). George, Sarah and Aaron were always available and very helpful. Highly recommend doing a food tour at the local market (near Plaza Grande) for better food at a fraction of the price of the touristy restaurants. Also enjoyed……

“Don't be put off by the rough roads and decrepit buildings in this area. Behind these funky doors is a beautiful oasis of calm and serenity! The main office is a few doors down the street against traffic so it's a little tricky to find. One important thing to know is that there are no televisions in the rooms.”

“The vertical guide bar of a Life Fitness selectorized strength machine was completely blocked in the range of motion or the access path. It's a classic case of "gym assembly" without actually testing if it can move through the intended arc. Additionally, while the hotel staff helped to arrange for a taxi to the ADO bus station, the driver quoted 100 pesos ”

“Hotel is in a perfect location on Calle 60. It is located less than 2 blocks from Parc Santa Lucia, & 5 block from Grande Plaza. Room immaculate, with a lovely patio overlooking the pool. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a Hotel. Fresh cooked to order, with warm fresh from the oven croissants, fresh fruit and yogurt. All staff members were EXCEPTIONAL. With a special thanks to Isabella, & Anna. Gino the owner was visible much of the time & wonderful to help in any way……
