This flat in Antibes is light, bright and airy, and in an ideal location. It's on the top floor, and overlooks the promenade. Beyond that, is the Mediterranean Sea, blue and beautiful. The balcony is a lovely perch on a sunny day. Gulls and swallows drift by, the sound of the surf is soothing. We loved this part of it, would happily live there.But, we had several problems, most of which could not be helped. Stuff happens. Our biggest complaint was with the host management company, Check My Guest. We weren't met, but got into the building okay, only to find our way to the top floor blocked by a metal gate. The local CMG rep seemed to think we didn't know the difference between the NA system of floor counting and the European, and kept telling me to go up a flight. I actually had to hold my phone to the gate while I shook it til it rattled like a jailcell door while calmly telling her we couldn't. We waited outside for a good hour until someone came with a key. Again, things happen, but the attitude was horrible. There were ongoing issues that undoubtedly will be resolved. Once the host, Julien, was informed of the problems, he reached out to us and was most gracious. We have no complaints about him whatsoever. Or, to be honest, the place itself. We continued to stay simply because it is so lovely. Check it out. I have a feeling Check My Guest won't be a problem much longer.
