The breakfast was excellent. And the natural hot spring onsen was excellent. The staff was helpful despite our language difference. It was a great experience.
The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was excellent and full of variety, the laundry access and on-site parking convenient, and the rooftop onsen and massage chairs were a pleasure to use. Rooms cleaned everyday. On our first day, I did change out the loungewear provided in the room for a new set that fit better and was clean, as the set provided in the closet seemed like it may have been used very recently!? Still, I highly recommend dormy inn Aomori.

Parking & check in was easy. I’m a regular at the hotel.
Spacious room (compared to other hotels in Japan), staff were very friendly and helpful, able to communicate in English, hotel was clean and in a great location. Best of all, there were lots of amenities. Beautiful indoor and outdoor Onsen, massage chairs, lounge area with ice cream, free ramen in the evening, etc.
The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff was generally warm and inviting, and provided patience with the language barrier. It’s not the most soundproof hotel and you’ll hear people, but the common baths on the top floor more than make up for it. I’d stay again!
This is a wonderful hotel about fifteen minutes walk away from Aomori Station, with many restaurants especially izakaya near by. The hotel feels new, the staff are friendly and check in/out is a breeze. We booked the standard room with a king bed that although a tad small is very comfortable and well equipped. Dormy Inn has many nice touches such as complimentary apple juice and coffee throughout the day, free bowl of ramen from 9.30pm to 11.30pm, and free use of washing machines (pay only for the use of dryer). The public bath is another delight. Overall highly recommended for a short stay in Aomori.
The hot spring is nice. There are a lot of free stuffs serving at 21.00 - 23.00 (ramen, apple juice and ice cream). The room was cleaned properly everyday. Foods serving on breakfast are delicious.
around 10 mins easy walk from the train station, excellent hotel facilities, love the vibe on the 13F, and there are free apple juice and late night soba too, great value
It was a most pleasant stay in my trip. Clean and good location. Breakfast was excellent. Hot spring in the middle of the city and on the top of the hotel, looking at the beautiful view of Aomori port with the cruise ship lit up at night. There were complimentary strawberry jelly in the fridge in the room. All the staff was courteous and helpful. I would love to stay in this hotel again.
Fantastic hotel to stay at. Onsen and relaxation room were fantastic. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Rooms are very nice as well. The only thing I could possibly note are the pillows. I had to go out and buy one that was a more comfortable. But besides that one thing, the hotel is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean. Efficient room layout. Great shower water pressure (no tub in standard double room in this case, 1101). Breakfast buffet is 2500 yen (pricey but very good quality and great selection of foods including grilled salmon, tuna and scallop sashimi, bakery goods, etc.)
Relaxation room and spa on 13F including free popsicle from 1500 to 2500 and free noodles from 2130 to 2300 at the restaurant on 4G.
10 minutes walk from JR Aomori station (which has several restaurants as well including a Starbucks).
About 10 minutes walk from the pier though in winter, snowdrift will detour you. Speaking of, road are clear, sidewalks, not so much so get an IDL.
Dormy Inn sets the standard for best travelling experience in Japan. The privacy, quiet setting, sento, food and everything else is something to be marvelled when coming from Europe. Even the tiniest details have veen thought of, like the duvet not being tucked under the matress. 5/5!
As someone who generally stays at APA hotels and the occasional capsule hotel, I'd consider this room to be "super-nice." It was a like an APA room but slightly more spacious and where most everything in the room was 'slightly nicer.' **Upsides: *The sliding door that separated the bedroom from the entryway went a long ways toward dampening sounds from the hallway, to the extent where I didn't hear anything when I had the door closed. *The bathroom was level with the entryway floor; it had the toilet and shower I've used at newer capsule hotels, but this time I didn't have to share them with anyone. *I didn't use the laundry room, but apparently the washing machine was free and the dryer cost 100yen per 20 minutes. Assuming the drying isn't "the slowest dryer I've yet to use in Japan" then this should come out to being a fine price for laundry. *The TV didn't prevent my from plugging in my Switch and playing some games. **Neutral: *Front desk was on the 4th floor, which I didn't see the sign saying until I'd taken a lap around the building, wondering where to go. *The two vending machines sold 'stuff I might buy,' but alas no hot coffee (which seems to require me to go to conbini for my after-meal cans of hot coffee, in Aomori in the summer). *There's apparently a public bath here, but I didn't use it. **Negatives: My view from the window was 'mostly of a wall,' although there was some cityscape from a certain angle.
