  • Villa Marianna is a unique resort for private and relaxing family vacations, at the authentic region of Apokoronas in Chania prefecture, with uninterrupted view of western Crete landscape.

    A modern and spacious villa offering comfortable stay for up to 8  guests, situated in a private property of 2000sqm, surrounded by olive and orange trees in a walking distance from the beautiful village of Vryses.

    With numerous spots to relax and calm for adults, villa Marianna is the best choice for big families. The kids will enjoy endless hours of fun at the big pool and the gardens around the villa.

    Villa Marianna was built with focus on every detail, aiming to cover the needs of a big family, or group of friends looking for a comfortable and safe vacation stay.

    Villa Marianna is a house of modern design with spacious interior, equipped with all amenities so as to have a peace of mind during your stay. Nothing to think other than your precious vacation time.

    The main kitchen and living/dining room are on the first floor. Three bedrooms with wooden ceiling and each with its own balcony are on the second floor.

    The lovely hostel downstairs with separate entrance from the main house is a fully equipped apartment with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen offering extra privacy even within the same group of guests.

    The one of its kind exterior with a big 50sqm tile covered swimming pool, the amazing barbeque, the waterfalls, the stone colorful creations in the amazing gardens, the backyard of fruit trees, will create you life time memories.

    With respect to Cretan tradition and the world famous hospitality, our aim is to provide nothing less but the best and make you feel like home.

    For us success is our guests to have a memorable stay in our villa, become our friends and choose again and again our villa as their favorable vacation resort.

    Either from Chania airport or Heraklion airport the access of the villa is quite easy and safe. Vrysses village is a couple of km from the north national road of Crete which directly connects the two airports of Crete.

    The village of Vrysses is at walking distance from the villa. Vrysses is the capital and at the heart of Apokoronas region. At the village you can find all the necessary for your stay while the taverns alongside the river offer Cretan tradinional cousine.

    The long sandy beaches of Georgioupolis, Kavros, Almyrida and Kalyves are a few minutes away. Water sports, shopping, restaurants and bars offer so many options in all these destinations.

    Just 2 km away is the north national road that connects the major cities of Crete, Chania on the left and Heraklion on the right.

    Vryses is also the starting point for breathtaking routes to south Crete and Sfakia area through the sierra of White Mountains.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and easy to get to. The kids loved the pool and we loved all the outdoor areas. George and his father were easy to communicate with and provided us wirh everything we needed. Great location if you have a rental car and want to explore different areas of Crete.

Lovely place

We loved the villa and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the quiet countryside and local village but also only a short drive to the beach. The villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool was fabulous and we loved the outdoor kitchen area and cooked homemade pizza's in the wood fired oven which was a real treat. Thank you to the hosts who were responsive and helpful to any questions we had.

Lovely villa

We have just had a lovely holiday here. The villa is very nice with a special mention for the outside kitchen, with bbq and pizza oven. The pool is beautiful. There is a nice beach suitable for young children only 15 minutes away. George and his father were very helpful and their communications were excellent. I highly recommend this property

The location was nice with a mountain view and a village roughly 10 minute walk away with all the essentials. The beds and pillows were firm and you can hear church bells ringing, even at 11pm( the dogs are also quite noisy). The owners were really nice and informative. The pool is big and deep. There was air conditioning in every room, some louder than others. Overall would recommend for bigger groups.

The location of this villa could not have been better. Private and secluded but close enough to lake sea and towns to enjoy. There are a lot of marble steps to navigate which become slippery when wet so just need to be aware. The owners were helpful and friendly and were available to sort out any issues promptly. We had a few issues with the electricity but this was sorted out by George. I would recommend this villa.

Fantastic Villa

Me and my family have just returned from our holiday and everything was wonderful. The villa is stunning and absolutely spotless. Located in a lovely village just a short walk away you had the best of both worlds - privacy with the option of walking to some lovely taverns. The local beach is 15 minutes away and is stunning. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Always available if we needed anything and even provided us with a delicious meal for our first evening!! This was our first vist but wont be our last. Thank you so very much.

Holiday at Villa Miranna

This is a fantastic Villa,spacious, spotless & plenty of room for family & friends to spread out and enjoy the various spaces . Eat by the BBQ, on the Balcony or inside. The Pool has a depth that if you like a swim you can enjoy. George,our host & his team, are friendly,welcoming & couldn’t do enough to make our stay relaxing. Poppy , the Housekeeper visited during our stay to clean & check we had everything we needed, even bringing us some homemade cakes & homegrown vegetables. This Villa is ideally located to go out & explore by car. Whether you want to explore the far west of the island, the Cities & the South of the island all of these are accessible. The local village of Vryses, has two Bakeries, a number of small Supermarkets & Restaurants, therefore plenty close by. Loved our stay, would definitely go back and would thoroughly recommend Villa Miranda to anyone

Absolutely fabulous, from booking to leaving? Villa was amazing, so peaceful and charming, Villa was spotlessly clean, Poppy who came to clean was adorable, even brought my granddaughter a lolly pop which she was delighted with, and made us all a cake which was delicious. We were given some local products and some raki, which again was a nice touch, George the hosts dad was super friendly too, I asked if there was an ice box at the villa for us to take to the beach, and the very next day we had one, nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect, the villa was completely private and the village restaurants and shops were a 5 minute walk. In the words of my granddaughter “I’m dreaming Nannie “ she was in her element especially in the pool which was probably one of the best pools we have had, we always have villa holidays and this one was one of the best. Thankyou George, Poppy and Georges dad for making our holiday so amazing.

Fantastic place

Absolutely fantastic is all I can say!!!! The owners were so welcoming and warm. Any issue or query we had was attended to there and then. Any advice we needed they were on hand any time of day! the outside of this villa is stunning! Absolutely perfect location. Near a beach. Near tourist areas but also traditional Crete is right on your doorstep. The local shops bars and taverns on right on hand with the freshest of produce… we were so so sad to leave but left with the best memories and the most relaxed version of ourselves in a while. The outside bbq area was a huge hit with hubby. And the apartment underneath was perfect for the grandparents. They said it was the best holiday they have ever had. This holiday this villa this family this location has a special part in our hearts. Xxx

Villa Marianna our stay 20/09/19--27/09/19

This villa is amazing,and is by far the best in 20 years of taking villa holidays. Villa Marianna is beautiful,the surrounding area is great,with the mountains in the distance,the walk from the villa to the village is no more than 10 minutes The Villa was spotless on arrival,and was fully cleaned again during our stay by the wonderful Poppy,who also brought us some delicious home made treats. If you need a local Taxi,Poppy's husband works for a local company,who we used on a number of occasions. We would also like to thank George,Lila,and George's father for making us feel so welcome,and to George's father for the wonderful local Cretan Cheese given to us on our departure. Our only regret is not staying longer at Villa Marianna. As a family,we can highly recommend a vacation at this Villa,and we will return in the future for another amazing holiday. Wonderful villa

A lovely villa with excellent facilities. The downstairs living, dining & kitchen area is very spacious. Kitchen well equipped. The outside areas are vast , including a BBQ area, which we used several times and a pizza oven which we did not try. The swimming pool is lovely, possibly one of the nicest pools we have had. The pool and housekeeping was every few days which was ideal. Any issues were promptly responded to by George and usually sorted out by his wonderful father. Checking in and out was an easy process, we were met both on arrival and departure by George’s father. On arrival there was a bowl of fruit, water in fridge and some Raki! As a parting gift we were given some cheese which I believe was produced by the family. Overall a very relaxing holiday, the villa was just outside the local town which meant we had lots of privacy. There is also a small flat at the base of the house which comes with the villa, ideal for grandparents etc. Local town was a little over 10 minutes walk with cafes, tavernas and super markets. Lots of other tavernas within 15 minute driving range. At some point we will return to Crete and would certainly stay here again.

Fantastic Place - Great Hospitality

We can give nothing but 5 stars. We felt so welcomed and even though we arrived late in the evening the first day we were greeted welcome, and the landlord had even prepared some food for us. The surroundings and the villa were great. It was nice to stay in Vryses, a little bit outside the tourist areas. The pool was nice, there was a lot of sunbeds as well as tables and chairs on the property. There was also air-conditioning in all bedrooms and the main living room. Everything worked as expected and whenever we had a question or a request we got immediate answers or service. We received a service well over what anyone could expect. The landlord delivered fresh cheese (own production) to us as well and on the day where we wanted to cook pizzas in the pizza oven (a great outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and pizza oven) the landlord showed up and prepared the oven for us - and they even brought some Greek specialties for us (Kalitsounia). Even during checkout, the landlord was being extraordinary flexible. We felt welcome and appreciated all the time. Thanks a lot, to Villa Marianna and the family behind it! Our best and most sincere recommendations for this Villa Marianna. We will definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful time in the villa, the pictures online don't do it justice, it is much prettier in real life with many different areas for everyone to relax. We had one or two small issues which were dealt with quickly. George and his father were always available and very helpful. The pool and BBQ were exceptional. We would definitely return to this villa.

Hervorragende Location

Super gelegenes Haus mit perfekter Ausstattung für eine Gruppe von bis zu 8 Personen. Wir sind mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern (3 und 5) angereist. 4 Schlafzimmer haben damit für alle vollkommen ausgereicht. Die Küche und Badezimmer sind in sehr gutem Zustand und gut ausgestattet. Das Gebäude ist sauber und in einem sehr guten Zustand! Das Grundstück an sich ist sehr groß, der Pool bietet einen sehr gute Abkühlung und ist sowohl für Schwimmer als auch Nichtschwimmer geeignet. Es gibt genügend Liegen zum Sonnen und entspannen, auch Handtücher waren vorhanden. Die anliegende Grill-Küche (Holzkohle) haben wir mehrfach genutzt um abends im Freien noch etwas zu essen. Im anliegenden Ort (Vryses)gibt es mehrere Supermärkte in denen alles notwendige eingekauft werden kann. Das Haus liegt etwas abgelegen, aber ruhig. Perfekt für Familien mit Kindern. Es empfiehlt sich hier, ein Mietauto zu nutzen. Strand ist innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu erreichen (z.B. Kalyves). Chania liegt knapp 30 Minuten entfernt. Der Flughafen ca. 40 Minuten. Die Betreiber sind super nett, sehr Hilfsbereit und stehen jederzeit für Rückfragen oder Problemen zur Verfügung. Wenn wir wieder nach Kreta kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder diese Location buchen!!!!

Fantastico soggiorno a Villa Marianna

Siamo appena tornati da una bella vacanza a Creta, dove abbiamo avuto la fortuna di soggiornare a Villa Marianna. La casa è proprio come si vede dalle foto, la proprietà è spaziosa all'esterno e all'interno. La piscina, sempre pulita, è stata molto goduta dai bambini e dai genitori che ne hanno approfittato per rilassanti aperitivi. Il giardino è curato e ricco di piante di tanti tipi. Abbiamo anche sfruttato il barbecue, spazioso e ben attrezzato, c'è un tavolo proprio li vicino per mangiare sotto il portico. All'interno ci sono 4 comode camere doppie, 3 sono nell'appartamento superiore e 1 nell'appartamento a piano terra. Il nostro gruppo era composto da 8 persone e ci siamo sistemati tutti comodamente. La sala e la cucina a primo piano sono ampie e attrezzate, anche se noi abbiamo sempre mangiato in terrazza. La casa si trova in campagna, tra orti e ulivi, da lì si possono raggiungere le spiagge più vicine in 12 minuti di auto. L'ospitalità dei proprietari ci ha sorpreso, molto attenti a ogni nostro bisogno, ci hanno fatto trovare all'arrivo dei fagottini di formaggio fatti in casa e nei giorni successivi la signora ci ha offerto un'ottima moussaka preparata sempre da lei. Consigliatissimo!

Magical stay for my father’s 70th birthday

We rented as a group of five adults and one under-2 toddler for my father’s birthday. Lilla and George were incredibly welcoming and helpful from first email contact through our entire stay at the property. The photos are accurate and the property is a lovely space to stay in, about 5-10 minutes’ stroll from Vrysses village centre and 15mins drive or so from Georgiopolis and the nearest beaches. George also arranged for a wonderful home-cooked celebration meal for my Dad to be prepared on one of the nights. The food was lovely, very reasonably priced and it really made our trip special. We look forward to coming back!

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at Villa Marianna. George, his father and Poppy did help us with everything we needed. With a car the small village vryses is close to nice beaches, restaurants and other activities. But you could also enjoy the pool all day long and make a nice bbq with fresh fish from a local store in the evening or even enjoy the jacuzzi on a rainy day. Behind the house there is a fruit plantation. Georges father did provide us with a lot of fresh grapes, pear, figs and more. They were really delicious. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Wunderbares Haus,herrlicher Panoramablick auf die Weissen Berge,gute Ausgangsmöglichkeit für Ausflüge!Die Gastgeber sind reizend und helfen bei allen Problemen.Das Haus wird 2mal pro Woche top gereinigt und alles wirkt sehr gepflegt.

A surprise in the Crete countryside

It doesn’t get better than sitting in the evening sunshine surrounded by olive groves & fruit trees, watching the sun setting over the mountains. This property is a tranquil haven away from the tourist areas, a place to truly relax & feel like you’ve got away from it all. It’s only a short drive to a wealth of different beaches to choose from, and shore-lined tavernas & cafe bars. We liked Kalivaki beach & the long stretch of sand by Poseidon Beach bar. But when we wanted a relaxing day at the villa, lounging by the pool, it had everything we needed. We had 6 in our family group & the villa was perfect with ample space. The hosts, George & Lila, were very attentive & helpful, and quick to respond if we needed advice about the local area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful villa to others; & I hope to be back again one day in the future.
