Villa Aloni has been built in a traditional style, with the skilful use of stone and wood. This combination, gives a traditional warm atmosphere. This luxury villa provides all the comforts to ensure a pleasant and relaxing holiday.
Villa Aloni cans accommodate up to 5-6 people in the 2 spacious bedrooms. All double beds are equipped with mosquito nets, to ensure your uninterrupted sleep.
Your stay will enable you to escape from routine, resting by the fire place in the comfortable open-plan sitting room, with a view of the swimming pool and the luxuriant garden, where you can sip your wine, read, play board games or do whatever you like. You can also enjoy a hydro massage in the spacious bathroom or take a rest on the terrace, enjoying the view of the Apokoronas area or relax on the swing in the garden among the various plants and olive trees.
The name “Aloni “ refers to the circular stone “threshing floor” which is still in the garden. This was used in the past to separate the grain from the chaff.
Villa Aloni is situated in Maza, a small village in the Kruoneridas municipality, in the region of Apokoronas in the county of Chania, in Western Crete.
Maza is a small village in the foothills of the mountains, with about 100 permanent inhabitants. Maza is situated in an area of great natural beauty, where you can enjoy walks along country lanes among the greenery. There are also several old churches, like St. Nicolas in the village square. There is also a traditional café end two taverna.
The village is about 37 km from the town of Chania, 35km from Rethymno and about 40 km from Chania airport Daskalogiannis. Souda, the nearest port is 30 km away. The nearest health centre is in the village Vamos 10 km away and the Lake Kournas is 9 km away. Maza is only a five-minute drive from the traditional village Vrisses 3 km. away, famous from the fresh yogurt. It takes about 10 minute to drive to the nearest beach at Georgioupoli, about 6km away.
As regards the county of Chania, it is worth visiting the Samaria Gorge, the White Mountains and numerous traditional villages. In Chania town itself, a visit to the old Venetian harbor with the beautiful Egyptian lighthouse and the nearby Turkish quarters should not be missed. There are plenty of clean, safe beaches for you to choose from in the area.
