Comfort Inn & Suites New Lisbon

8/10 Good

"The room was clean, the pool and jacuzzi could’ve used a good scrub around the tiles. The air freshener smells good throughout the hotel. But unfortunately, you can taste it in the ice. Breakfast had tons of options to choose from. Downfall is there’s nowhere to eat around this hotel so plan on stopping and bringing food back unless you want McDonald’s every night."

"The first appearance of the exterior makes you think you picked the wrong motel. Sort of a work in progress. But let me tell you, the rooms are very nice. Clean and comfy. One of the best motel beds I've ever slept in. The toilets are low and small especially for taller people with bad knees which is a minus. Make sure you have ID at check in if you made online reservations tho. Owner is accommodating. Even offered to pick up food for us if we ordered it. Kwik trip is right across the street for an extra bonus. Also if you'd like a cocktail, there is an on-site bar."

"We arrived on a Friday, which is probably the most exciting day of the week for them. They had an Elvis impersonator in the bar and it was packed. I think the locals come there too. The happy hour was good. Then after that, they had a band outside on the patio, which we missed because we had other plans. The next morning, we walked down by the Wisconsin river and found a nice coffee shop and talked to some locals. There was also a farmers market where they had excellent looking vegetables. The hotel had a small buffet breakfast. We had to wait for more eggs to be brought out, but it was sufficient. The hotel is an older place and could use some updating. the rooms are large and had the amenities we needed. There was plenty of parking and plenty of places around two sit and relax.I like having another sink outside the bathroom so that was a plus. They were cooling the room with a room size AC so I’m not sure if that was temporary or not."

"A convenient place to stay for a night on a roadtrip - but no-frills, if you care about those things. It felt very old - no elevator at all - and the LED lighting in the rooms was a little harsher than I'd prefer. But the room was clean, hallways were quiet, staff was lovely and breakfast (including fancy red velvet waffles!) was solid."

"Adorable, clean cabin with show stopping outdoor / lakefront space. Our kids spent hours swimming off the pier, climbing the tree, hunting for frogs and turtles, and playing in the sand. Absolutely beautiful sunsets and a fire pit with a view. Host was lovely. Happened to be here over Fourth of July and the bar across the lake had live music and an incredible fireworks show!"

"This house is cute and cozy! It has everything you would need for a stay and the owner is very responsive with communication! As soon as you walk in you can see the care taken in this home! It is a great place!!"

"Beautiful waterfront sunsets! We spent three days on Petenwell boating and had a very nice stay. We kept our boat and trailer right around the corner at the County Park at a leased dock slip at night. We used the home’s swimming dock and we were able to keep the boat tied there during the day. It worked out great. The fire pit was a great place to spend time together at the end of the day. Everyone we met was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area."
