"Whenever I entertain someone who has never before been to NJ (yes, I know - I’m often shocked by this as well) then I give them a driving tour and then we stay at the Empress Hotel. It’s a slice of old-school Asbury Park that I enjoy showing off, along with the Boardwalk, Convention Hall, and some of THE best restaurants anywhere - full stop. The Empress is comfortable, clean, affordable, free parking is behind the building, it’s located right across from the Boardwalk/beach, and the staff are absolutely wonderful. My friend from the Seattle area arrived early and we were able to check-in several hours early so she could refresh herself before we painted the town. My original reservation was for two nights but when my friend needed to leave a day early then I was only charged for one night. Staff were very friendly and accommodating - I will continue to take folx to the Empress to give them a taste of what Jersey has to offer. Stay here - or I’ll make you an offer you can’t refuse! 🐴"

"Our group of friends had such a great time staying here! The house was super clean and updated, with plenty of space and beds for everyone. We loved being able to hang out both inside and outside without ever feeling crowded.The location was perfect -- just a quick walk to the beach, boardwalk, and tons of good restaurants. We didn't get back into our cars all weekend. The place also had really fun, artsy touches in the decor that made it feel unique and not like a cookie-cutter rental.The host was awesome to work with -- super responsive and easy to communicate with before and during our stay, which made everything smooth.Overall, this was the perfect spot for our group trip, and we’d absolutely stay here again!"
