Great place to stay close to Ashford .

Very good,all staff from reception to cleaners very polite and cheerful and helpful. The room was really comfortable and spacious. The dining room was lovely,the breakfast selection was excellent and very tasty. We shall be visiting the area again in late November early December for about a week and will definitely book again with you.

Good but needs some bits and bobs

The hotel staff was friendly with a professional attitude. A mini fridge in the room would have been nice and a toilet brush in the bathroom as well. Overall a good stay considering the air conditioning which was a big plus.

Perfect

Arrived and was greeted very nicely by a member of staff at reception. I have a few mobility issues even tho not disabled but he found me a ground floor room with walk in shower. Room was nice and clean and a very comfy bed. Was for 4 nights and everything was great. Would definitely return when back down in area.

Stayed for one night before leaving for an early start to Le Shuttle. Air con unit had broken so they offered to put a fan in the room. Would definitely stay here again before an early travel. Room was comfortable. I can't comment on food as we didn't eat there but If you don't fancy the food there then Harvester is just across the road. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Nette wel wat oudere kamer maar schoon. Airco werkte niet of onvoldoende. `We hebben dit aangegeven en de airco was niet berekend op de huidige temperaturen . Dat was in de nacht wel minder prettig ook omdat de ramen maar beperkt open kunnen. Wel een heel goed verzorgt ontbijt in een sfeervolle ontbijtzaal.

Sam booked us in and was very accommodating & looked after us. The hotel was going through a refurb but had no bearing on the stay. Our issue revolves around the bar on the sink not working, or wouldnt open once we had filled the sink with water. Had to brush our teeth in the shower. On one of the hottest nights of the year then Aircon failed. Okay, these things happen but when we went check out the following morning: 1. A different receptionist don't ask us about our stay so I decided to bring up both issues and explained I was happy. A member of staff standing by, I don't know who he was, interrupted and said, yes, we knew about those issues. Honestly? Why would you put us in a room that had issues that you knew about. The amount of rooms available must have been huge. The hotel was pretty much empty. It's a pity because the hotel, bar, location was fantastic but who ever is managing it needs to communicate to their staff. We are well hardened travellers & use Holiday Inn quite alot. First time this has happened in a Holiday Inn. Very, very disappointing.

Hotel is undergoing renovation and I was in a room that presumably has not yet been renovated. Cleanliness wasn't great, and I had asked for the room to be configured as a double but was given a twin which was unfortunately unable to change. Was fine for a night for the purposes I needed it but wouldn't stay again.

Overnight stay for euro tunnel which was perfect as 20 mins away. However, hotel going through a much needed refurb. Room was okay but the bed was softer than a marshmallow. Food was good though in restaurant and the girl serving was extremely polite and lovely.

Great location

Stayed here for 2 nights while working in the Kent area and it’s a great hotel. Large free car park if you are a resident and you must register your number plate in reception, really friendly lady on reception. I requested a high floor and that’s what I received. Nice sized room which you would expect from Holiday Inn, decent restaurant and bar area with a nice beer garden. Would recommend if staying in the middle of Kent and not far from Dover.

Menu very poor as little choice of mains! Was told we were not able to use the restaurant due to coach tours being prioritised over other paying guests. We were accommodated in the bar and told menu choice was same as in restaurant but felt ‘pushed out’ because the restaurant was full with tour parties.. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and often seemed over worked! Would have to think twice before booking again due to the lack of menu choice and restaurant seating availability we experienced!

Not up to expectations

We rang to check what time food was available until and were told the restaurant was open until 9.30. When we got there the restaurant was closed for a function!! We ate off a very limited bar menu in our room which was not ideal. The key card stopped working so my husband went to reception where he stood in a queue with 3 more people with the same problem and a very grumpy receptionist telling them all it was their fault! The hotel and facilities were good but the receptionist ( male) was rude and the bar staff grumpy and poorly trained
