“The shepherd huts are almost new and very well equipped, much larger than expected with quality fittings and underfloor heating. Lovely wooden worktops. The bed is a little high for some but fine for us. There are steps up, which you would expect. The outer hut areas have yet to see any grass, unlike a general area with oicnic benches that are grassed. Overall excellent value. ”

“I stayed for one night whilst travelling for a mixture of business and pleasure. It had been a long hot day so it was a pleasure to step into the cool of this lovely old inn. The welcome was warm and friendly and in fact I think the friendliness of the staff is my standout reason to stay. The room was simply furnished but spacious and comfortable and importantly cool with a fan provided. I ate dinner and breakfast there both were tasty and served with a smile and friendly chat.
