"What’s not to like. I needed an inexpensive place to stay for business. The road to the lodge is up a small country lane. You pass the lodge on your left in front of you and park up there if can. You check in at the health club which is about 100 metres up the road. Staff are very friendly and helpful at check in. Room was not what I expected as it’s part of the old lodge so lots of windows! But black out blinds worked well! but was really spacious and the bathroom. Was very new and clean. Lovely selection of nice branded tea and coffee and nice biscuits too. I visited the health. Enter and the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room was wonderful, the pictures do not do it justice! I had a lovely cheese omelette and chips in the club house for dinner and again was served buy a lovely helpful friendly gent. Bed linen Was lovely clean and fresh and was really comfortable I had a very peaceful sleep! I will definitely stay again! Looking forward to it! "

"I really loved the Red Lion, the whole place is truly well kept, the furniture and the decorations including the lovely framed prints are all amazing and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy. My room was very clean and reasonably spacious. I could not recommend the Red Lion more watmly. Very happy customer. Many thanks to the corteous staff too!"

"This is an opportunity to stay in a gorgeous historic property on the River Avon. The views from every room are stunning. You cannot beat the convenience of walking to ever place you need to visit. "

"Checkin was very brief, receptionist was busy helping someone else so started to check us in even though we were happy to wait. Didn’t give us any info on breakfast etc, good job we had stayed here before! Bed was very uncomfortable and very squeaky floorboards in the bedroom but room was very clean and spacious. Location is spot on for the beach and town, in walking distance. You do have to pay for the car park but roads close by are free to park if you are lucky enough to get a space."

"The hotel staff are really nice very helpful my room was on the 3rd floor was like a maze to find it the room it self was clean and basic with tea/coffee. Room was a great size bathroom very small ( nothing the hotel can do about that ) the double bed was really nice good size nice warm bedding with great pillows. Black out curtains would be nice as the ones let in loads of light. Nothing bad, breakfast was good as well definitely worth the money before leaving. All in all very good I’ll be using again Hotel is a little dated yet for the price your paying to stay what more can you ask for "

"Stay was absolutely fabulous. Upgraded my room to a King and the comfort didn't disappoint. The staff were always friendly and knowledgable for restaurant pick or as for me I needed to do laundry and the staff promptly let me know how to get to the Washing Well. Shame I had such a short stay. Only thing I wish I knew is where the non slip mat would be found, the bath tubs are slippery when wet."
