The place is very clean, the bathroom fixtures are still quite new. The common area is not as new, but useful as I used kettle and microwave for the one night I was there. Very good place to stay overall.

AlterEgo B&B is located conveniently near the central square and several restraunts, shops and many historical and religious sites. Assisi is very hilly. AlterEgo is "downhill" from the top bus stop and the proprietor showed us a flatter way to catch the bus leaving. The room was spotless. The bed comfortable. Breakfast is available from a hotel around the corner for 5euro. We would stay there again.

Because it’s in the historic center of Assisi, parking is a few minutes away by car. There is a covered lot for €14 for 24 hours and a free public lot a little further away. Check in is easy and the rooms are basic but comfortable. Great for a short stay.
