This inn is ideally situated in proximity to the piazza de la commune. The inn is beautiful and well furnished, with antiques throughout. The staff members are splendid and very helpful.

The staff were very kind and helpful. They provided directions to all the places we wanted to see and called a taxi when we set off for the train station. The breakfast-FABULOUS! There was a wide variety of delicious, fresh foods. Best of all, other than the gracious hosts, is an incomparable spectacular view. We LOVED Assisi and cannot wait to return!

Hotel Umbra is the best! We had an amazing view from our window and the room was beautiful. I came with a little one under ten, and the staff were so kind to her! Especially Carlo, who also helped me out when my phone charger wasn’t working. He hand drew a map to guide me to the store to get a new one!

Very IMPORTANT, you CANT park inside the old city. If you are driving you can only enter to unload luggage then you have to park outside the old town. The walk is 10 to 15 min only. The hotel is in the middle of everything. The views are just breathtaking. Ask for room 34, is the best one.

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Umbra. We had 2 rooms - a double and a room for 3 and both rooms were incredibly clean with beautiful views. The staff was extremely kind, friendly and helpful. This property is a perfect location if you are visiting Assisi - it is right off of the main piazza with various restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this beautiful city.

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Umbra. The gentleman behind the desk was amazing. He suggested several places to eat that we enjoyed. The night before our departure he assisted us with booking a taxi for the ride to the train station. If you are planning visiting Assisi stay at Hotel Umbra.

This was our third time in Assisi, and our first time at the Hotel Umbra. We loved its central location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the delicious breakfast they offer. If there was a downside, the spacious room didn’t have much of a view … but what does that matter? We spent all of our time wandering the city. We’ll certainly stay there again.

Everything was just right for me, from the room with a view, to the breakfast buffet, to the friendly and helpful personnel. I enjoyed my stay very much and would consider returning to the property on my next trip to Assisi. It is also very nice that the property is very close to the Piazza Comune, the center of town, and close to many of the important churches in Assisi as well as to good restaurants within walking distance.
