"I was concerned with the bathroom and shower down the hall, but it ended up not really being an issue. More like staying in a large house. It was a bit of a walk, but never a wait, and never anything but sparkling clean - which speaks volumes not only of the staff, but their clientele. This is a hotel run by genuinely good people, serving extremely pleasant guests.
The overall look of the place is pretty hip. The bed was comfortable. The room basic, but it worked. There was a table for when I needed a table, and a sink. There were white robes for bathroom and shower visits. The shower did have a dispenser with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash… and towel bath mats to drop in the laundry when you are finished with them.
The room next door had a permanent resident practicing bass guitar which did drive me out of my room a couple times. The volume and distorted repetitive riffs were at times like fingernails on a chalkboard for extended periods. Practicing with headphones might serve the hotel better. Sometimes other rooms played LPs late into the evening past the quiet time hours - loudly. The walls are thin. You can hear neighbors snore. Last night someone pounded on my door extensively - apparently thinking I was the snorer - but it wasn’t me, I was quite awake already from the snoring in the room next door. When I brought up the late music playing at 9:45pm, the desk person dealt with it and the music eventually quieted. Aside from thin walls, the Norblad worked well."
