"I have stayed at this hotel three times now, in the last three years, coming to Nagoya on my yearly Japanese vacation. The hotel is located in Sakae near a lot of shopping and restaurants, while being within walking distance of attractions like Osu Shotengai shopping street and Osu Kannon Temple.
The breakfast buffet is first-rate with a lot of Japanese options as well as Western fare for the unadventurous. The staff is extremely polite, kind, and helpful as well as being very professional. I stayed on the executive floor this time so I had access to the executive lounge with free drinks and snacks as well as free health club access. However, I have tattoos so was unable to use the facilities. I think my only complaint would be to relax the standards for tattoos, but I understand the policy due to the clientele they serve so I was not too bent out of shape about it. There are different cultural rules and expectations in Japan and I happily follow them while I am here since I am not an overzealous traveler that expects the world to bend to favour my Western ways and behaviours. I come to Japan to experience their culture and not enforce mine."
"The hotel is smaller, more fancy. 10 min walk to Nagoya station. There’s a scent they use in the hallway, I think it’s eucalyptus? Not a fan.
We appreciated the beds being made daily and the fresh towels, but it was not necessary. A little wasteful to change out the towels every day. The breakfast buffet was a set menu with 4 choices, it was good, simple. They do not have laundry on site. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The neighborhood was quiet."
"I enjoyed the breakfast very much Saki San food chef manager at the cafe was great. Hotel was well maintained room was very clean It is 10 min walk to a busy part of Nagoya overall very convenient and safe location."
"Solo stayed and the staff was proficient enough in English to help me with my stay. Room cleaning is every other day unless you request, which is no issue they always provide an extra set of towels on the door even if you request for no housekeeping. Free items like comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, bath towel for you to take at the front desk. Luggage forwarding is an option to send suitcase to next hotel for a fee. The coin laundry on 14th floor and you can monitor the progress of each machine to know when each machine is free to use or when yours is done as well"
