Worst rental experience I have ever had.

I got there, around 10pm after landing. The placed stunked like garbage as the place hadn't been cleaned and the trash was full. So, I took out the trash. Then I went to check on the bedrooms and the beds hadn't been cleaned. So, I had to do laundry and make one bed for me. Then I went for dinner with a friend. When I got back the trash smell was gone, and the place smelled like mildew and mold. I checked the rooms and there was mold in one of the rooms. I have asthma and can't stay in a place with mold. I could have an asthma attack. Being unclean and now unsafe I left and at a higher price had to book a hotel. Meanwhile, the owner kept harrasing me about canceling the order, so he can rent it out again and maybe refund me the cleaning fee, and a couple of hundred bucks. Renters can't cancel it once the date passed, and I told him this repeatedly. His only concern was renting his unsafe house again. I am getting back all of my money as the house was unsafe, unclean, and not as described. Stay if you like at your own risk, I will never be going back, and probably never use VRBO again.

Decent!

The property manager was very timely when it came to responses. The house was very roomy as well. It was very accommodating. The only thing that I would critique was the amount of bugs in the home (which is understandable since no one permanently lives there) but there was also a terrible stench… I did let the manager know and hope it goes away for the next guest. Thanks for a good stay.

Property manager canceled on the day of my reservation.

I booked with this manager 4 months in advance. My reservation was for 6 nights. He canceled the reservation the afternoon I was to have the property. No reason given. I hate to put him in a negative light but he caused me considerable expense in finding a place to stay on the day of the need.

Close to Tourist sites

The property is in close proximity to a lot of tourist destinations, which was very convenient. Our group was able to walk, rather than drive, to several museums, bars and restaurants during our stay. The ant problem still exists in the kitchen, but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Our Amazing Stay

The area is a really good and quiet neighborhood and is basically close to everything. We was less then five to ten miles away from our events and reservations. The house was very neat and clean indeed comfortable. The rooms were very spacious and the beds slept so comfy and cozy. We had access to all appliances including washer and dryer. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was very nice and always available every time we had questions. We felt safe, secure, and at home during our stay. We definitely will be reserving here again.

A great substitute for a hotel

The house is in a great location that is close to just about anything you'd want to do in Atlanta. We were working in Midtown so it was very convenient. The free off street parking sold me. For the price it is an excellent option.

I really enjoyed our stay at the property. We were close to mostly everything entertainment, food and shopping. Owner was quick with response time for anything. I would recommend and stay here again.

The location was great! The house was ok. Clean enough, but it could definitely use a deep cleaning. There is still an ant problem in the kitchen. The third “bedroom” was located at the entrance so to get in and out of the front door you had to walk through the bedroom. Eamon was ok/good with communication. The check in process was not good. The day of arrival I had to ask for the instructions as they had not been sent to me. I was told at this time that I needed to send a photo of my drivers license and a Selfie of me in front of the property before he would send me the code to get into the house! Really?? This house was rented for five people - three different groups traveling from three different states to meet up. I happened to be the one to rent the house and was the last one to arrive. No one could get into the property until I arrived, sent a photo of my drivers license, and a selfie at the property. This was not stated anywhere in the VRBO listing. Totally ridiculous check in policy that needs to be stated upfront in the listing. I did ask if the other people could send him a selfie to get in and was told no. It was rented for 5 people and additional money was required for extra people.

Good access to midtown neighborhoods, great space

Went to concert at Piedmont Park, quick uber ride to everywhere. Great space, older home but , inside decor and color is updated. Odd third bedroom space, 2 other rooms-lots of space-2 queens in center bedroom. House was clean, comfortable, great value. Would book again, definitely better than staying at a more expensive hotel, and a 1/3 of the space.

Great experience

This was a very positive first experience with a vacation rental. This house is well located and was very comfortable for three adults. The house was a welcome respite at the end of a long day. Eamon was very helpful.

Location was great......

Former Atlanta resident — I used to live in Midtown and a friend used to live around the corner from this house, so this location is great. However, the actual property left something to be desired. If renovations are not ongoing then that is unfortunate, as there are some much needed upgrades, as well as housekeeping details that need to be tended too. Terrible ant issues in the kitchen, no ice/ice trays and there was hair in the bathroom floor of one of the bathrooms. As I said, it seemed as though there are ongoing renovations, so I will be interested to see if these upgrades actually happen in the near future.

Great location but that’s it

This was a great location. Right in the heart of everything but that’s about as positive as it gets. None of the pictures matched what we seen. Trash cans were overflowing when we got there. Ants crawling in sink and counter top. Bath tubs did not drain so you were standing in your own water

Wonderful proximity to everything we needed! Great neighborhood as well!

We all really enjoyed our stay! More than enough rooms and beds to give everyone their privacy while still being together. Home was also very clean. Eamon was easy to contact and very pleasant to speak to! Can’t thank him enough for being so understanding and working with us to extend our checkout time! So glad to know we now have a home away from home!

Cute bungalow, great location

This house is in a super location, close to O4W park and the Beltline. Lots to do in the immediate area, and very convenient to other parts of town. Eamon was responsive and helpful, but not at all intrusive during our two-week stay. The house itself is probably 100 years old, but the kitchen is quite new and nice, as are the mattresses, linens, and TVs. When compared to a hotel stay, I feel it's so nice to have a washer/dryer, fridge, microwave, and 2 bathrooms. Before booking, I looked extensively on VRBO and I don't think you'll find a better Atlanta in-town deal for a unit that can sleep up to 8, and the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood is so vibrant and booming. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks Eamon!

Good layout and very convenient to downtown

Great for 2 couples with kids; each couple has their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the kids can all be in the 3rd bedroom. Super convenient and 12:00 pm check-out is nice. I would suggest getting a full size, regular coffee pot vs. the mini one that's there. My one complaint is that the rental fee is based on 1 guest. There is an extra cost of $15 a night for each additional person, regardless of how many beds you use. This is a bit cheesy and a "nickle and dime" approach in my opinion. Just make the rental fee to cover a 3-bedroom house. If you want to charge more, than you could for each additional person beyond the number of beds. But again, nice place and would rent again for sure. The owner was responsive in communications.

Modern clean house with big living areas, easy parking, great neigborhood, truly sleeps at least 6,

The property is very well situated, and the host very attentive and interested in making sure that all is well with your stay. The house is big, interior was new, well appointed and very clean. Street parking is very easy. Bathrooms and kitchen very modern with a master bathroom that features a jacuzzi and a shower. The large living and dining area is great for gathering after a long day out. The den in the entryway, converted to a bedroom behind glass doors, is awkward if you plan to entertain, but worked out well for us as we were a group. Pull down mini shades on that bedroom door would be nice. Thank you so much Eamon for being a great host. Our group of 4 co-workers enjoyed our stay.

Easy going Atlanta! Comfy, cozy, centrally located.

We had a great time staying at this property in late April. Very comfortable house. If you are looking for upscale fancy, this is not your place. Comfy, clean, easy highway and downtown access is what this place has to offer. The house was clean, uncluttered and simply appointed, which made the space feel bigger. There is patio access off of each bedroom and off of the kitchen area as well, we spent a little time outdoors as there is also a great back yard if you stay during warmer weather. There were 4 adults with two daytime visitors using the house and we never felt crowded, there was more than enough space for all of us to lounge and visit without being uncomfortable. Location was perfect, we had a very easy time maneuvering around the city from there. The owner was very, very nice and prompt to respond to any questions or requests that we had. Should we have a return visit to Atlanta, we will definitely use this property again.

Clean and functional with fantastic location

This house is in a great spot - there's so much to do within a mile or two. We rented a car and the driveway and parking were very convenient, but the location means that uber rides would have been a great way to go as well. The owner was attentive and responsive. The house itself was clean and comfy, nice appliances, great water pressure. Eamon, get a toaster! The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is the roughness around the edges. Some of the trim/ceiling/interior doors are a little unsightly; you can see that the improvements are ongoing. But don't let that dissuade you from a great place at a great price! Our group of four is definitely planning on staying here again with no regrets.
