"My stay at The Starling was really enjoyable. I loved the hotel overall, with the exception of the pool, which was under maintenance during my visit. The hotel did provide guests access to a pool at a nearby sister property, but I wasn’t interested in leaving the property just to swim.
I did treat myself to a massage at the spa, and it was fantastic. Omar was my masseuse, and I highly recommend him. The spa was clean, relaxing, and included wonderful amenities such as steam showers and a sauna.
My only real complaint was a small but frustrating interaction at the spa front desk. As I was leaving, the attendant asked if I wanted water, and the way it was presented made it seem complimentary rather than a purchase. I later discovered that it had been charged to my husband’s account. While I understand businesses need to generate revenue, I found the interaction misleading and a bit tacky.
Aside from that, I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. The hotel is conveniently located near Piedmont Park, and the rooms, as well as the entire property, were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained."
