Pets Allowed Waterfront Rental Home On Core Sound

Waterfront rental home with private dock on Core Sound, only minutes from Drum Inlet! This charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath house is the perfect getaway for a quiet vacation. With stunning views of the Core Sound from the back deck or kitchen windows, you will see shrimp boats and local fishermen heading in and out to the sound from the nearby commercial harbor. The house has a renovated bathroom, 2 small bedrooms, and kitchen, dining and living areas. Air conditioning throughout the house.
A dock is perfect for a skiff or any other small craft that can handle the shallow waters (2 to 3 feet) of Core Sound. The dock from which to fish also has a covered roof with a swing to read or to simply relax in the coastal breeze.
The property is pet friendly (any size), has high speed internet, as well as a washer and a dryer. Kayaking, ferry available to Core Banks from Atlantic; owners live across street

The hosts were very welcoming. We enjoy the coast but not much for the sandy beaches so this was the perfect place for us. The covered porch overlooking the sound was fantastic! Our 2 dogs enjoyed it as much as we did. Enjoyed listening to the water lapping up on the retaining wall of rocks and the breeze was wonderful. My husband enjoyed fishing from the dock. I loved stargazing from the dock. The cottage was decorated wonderfully and was so comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every second of it and want to book again in the future. Truly a special and magical place.

What a charming area to stay. Unfortunately Imelda was blowing hard all week but we made the best of it. The White Point inlet protected us from the strongest winds thankfully. It's a very quiet and secluded street a small fishing town with a great history. WiFi and internet were great along with TV selection. It was clean, the host was very helpful, and the deck and dock were perfect. I saw 2 sea otters swim by very close to shore one morning.

Beautiful Spot to Vacation

Beautiful location right on the water and property felt private. Host was very responsive and helpful. Great location to fish. Kids caught 6 Flounder and a couple of red fish. Great place to take the family!!!

This is our 5th time staying at this house. We brought our 19' boat and kept it at the dock. We fished the sound, the swamps, and offshore out of Ophelia Inlet which is located about 4 miles from the dock. We caught and grilled fish. We brought our crab pots and had crabs every other day. We also cast netted shrimp to eat. This house is a perfect fish camp on the sound!The owners life next door and offered help for anything we needed and were very friendly.We have already booked our stay for next year.

This little slice of heaven at the end of the world is located on the water and is the perfect place to recharge with your bestie or significant other! This cottage is clean and has all the comforts of home PLUS the covered back deck is by far my favorite feature (you too will undoubtedly spend all of your time here enjoying the breeze, watching the wildlife, and just chilling out.) The owners are extremely responsive and are just a phone call away if you need anything. I love this hidden gem and have already booked my stay for next year!

Million dollar view! House is quaint and well stocked for guests. Very quiet and peaceful. Loved the sunrises and the many birds, pelicans, gulls. Even saw dolphins. Plan to return. If you are looking for solitude this is the place. No grocery store within 45 minutes. Couple of places to eat at Harkers Island that were good and takeout from White Point was good.
