“Absolutely loved this spot. The inside was even better than expected - cozy and clean. Fam of 5 plus our dog did just fine space wise. Super quiet little cluster of river houses, great pizza and pasty place and a convenient store just up the road, kayak rental people practically within shouting distance, and tons to do within a short drive. We loved it!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Breath taking views, quiet and serene. We grilled, had a fire and tested out the sauna! There was plenty to do just outside, but inside were games and whatnot to keep you entertained. We HIGHLY recommend and hope to return!”

“We had the best time during our stay! Cabin is comfortable, has every kitchen amenity you could wish for, & the free access to kayaks was a huge plus for us! All of the mattresses were super comfortable. Cindy was a great host & Poe, her dog, was the sweetest! The location can't be beat! We enjoyed kayaking the Au Train River, Brownstone Inn for dinner, Bay Furnace for rock hunting, Capt Ron's Whitefish truck in Munising is a must & Au Train Grocery has the best pasties! We hope to return next……

“The house is beautiful and really well equipped for all needs. The view of the AuTrain river is only eclipsed by its location - go down some steps and it’s right there. Close to Lake Superior. The beach is lovely and not terribly crowded. Great central location- close to Marquette and Munising plus a couple small markets down the street. Love, love, loved it!!”

“Sarah was available for us at all times. She answered all of our questions and was able to give us suggestions on things to do and places to go! We even wondered when she was ever able to sleep! Erie cabin was just enough for the two of us! We enjoyed watching the fishing excursion boats leaving and coming back with their catches. (Kimars resort offers fishing excursions on site, if you are interested in fishing). If we ever go back to the UP we will definitely be returning! ”

“This home was perfectly situated on the Au Train River and walking distance to Lake Superior! We kayaked, rode bikes, and enjoyed campfires by the water. The house is so close to Pictured Rocks attractions and local hiking. You really can’t get any better! The house itself is clean and cozy. I can only imagine fall or winter how nice it would be. Beds were super comfortable and we were very pleased with everything. If I had a complaint it would be that we didn’t stay longer. We hope to come back……

"The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
